[RUMOR] Griffins future in doubt, Bennett/Walters to coach?

That doesn't translate to on field though does it? Which of our guys do you see being challenged? I see no-one improving except Gillett and that's because his form took a nose dive, there's nowhere to go for him but up.
Can't answer that. I am just repeating what Prince has said

Some people just aren't born to do certain things. He's probably challenged himself but found out that he come up short and was like "Well I got nothing." His half time speeches to the team... "So... you guys do stuff?"

Hahaha. He looks pretty calm in the half time speeches and the guys seem to be bored.

"You'll only succeed when you want it as bad as you want to breathe..."

You're come up with a way of fixing our problems. Break all the players' spines so they can no longer walk then they will finally play with heart.

When I watch the Roosters, Manly, Sharks in particular, I see determined, motivated, energetic hard men hitting hard ... ferocious, and looking like they are enjoying it. Some of their hits, especially the Manly side make me wince yet excite me. It's like gladiators, not pussies.

They look fit and strong and move as one. I love that term: hunt in a pack, which they do, supporting each other, enjoying the pleasure of being a team of men working as one, pushing the envelope.

We need a coaching team with balls

Somehow I find this just a little disturbing.

I just pictured this scene in my head LOL

"Soo ahhhh, just make sure the efforts there.. so I can say it during the press conference"

Hahaha, what's even more funny is that you're probably very close to the truth. A lot of fluff and no real substance. How a team can come out at second half and completely ruin their lead so many times is beyond me. Him and his merry men of retards certainly do know how to motivate a team.

Just was thinking about what people have been thinking about Griffin not being able to get the best out of players but yet Glenn , Beale , Hoffman , reed and yow Yeh are internationals , Gillett an origin player and Maguire , Copley and macca maroon emerging squad players. That has to account for something, yeah skilled player's but also helps to have a good coach to bring them skills to first grade.

gillett didnt deserve to be an origin player, glenns gone backwards, beale and hoffman play for nz and theyll literally take anyone who once made half a linebreak in their only game before test selection, and same with reed for england. i wouldnt really give much, if any, praise to griffin for their "development". yow yeh was gonna be a star before griffin, and mcguire has done it in spite of griffins terrible usage of him. mccullough has gone nowhere in years.

Listen to AP (can I presume to call you AP?) what he speaks here is the cold hard truth... **** makes me angry.

You been here long man?

That comment you made (about AP being awesome) is literally the only comment ever posted on these forums he will not disagree with.

The problem is in this tight competition, the difference between a 5th and 13th is a little bit of luck.

Hook has had literally zero luck in his coaching career. Lockyer going down in the preliminary final in Hook's first year as an NRL coach probably denied him a premiership which he could have soaked up for 3-4 years.

His main strike weapon horrifically snapping his ankle in half, followed by a slew of injuries to outside backs, followed by Lachlan Maranta who LITERALLY (in the proper sense of the word, by not scoring where a competent winger would have) lost us at least 3 games this season.

That said, there was an awful period this year when the team was not mentally prepared for games which is apparently Hook's greatest asset as man manager. The losses to the Eels and the Raiders were a result of undeserved arrogance and the Warriors capitulation was just a team devoid of confidence or togetherness.

I'd give Hook 2014. If he gets the same result as 2013 (but has the attacking weapons in Barba and Milford and the forwards with Kennedy) then he is going to come under serious scrutiny.

I am sorry, but I just cannot see how anyone could argue with what AP said. How the players have performed both individually and as a group is the only evidence you need. You can sugar coat it, pretend it's not real, makes excuses if you want but I just can't do that anymore. It pains me and I want to defend them, but I can't. With the exception of a few players they need to be ashamed of themselves.

I'll give him 2014, but I believe that his use of the bench and lack of development of Hunt in Q Cup, as well as our on field results this year, should already place him in the "serious scrutiny" category

If 2014 brings the same, "serious scrutiny" be damned; I expect a serious sacking

I expect a good old lynching, I'll bring the pitchforks if someone brings the torches.
