I'd say it's a matter of opinion. He has a mountain of talent and could be great. Having the mental fortitude is something else entirely.

I see Hunt next year as the DCE we all want but won't need as he will be wearing no. 6 :tongue_smilie:
Look at the contrasting careers of Hunt and DCE for a minute. Both boys had immense talent. Both were drafted young. DCE was thrust straight into first grade in his best position - Half Back - under a great coach in a well organised structure. Hunt was put on the bench and made to play backup Hooker.
I am getting the feeling Hook's arrogance and ego is going to stuff this team next year
Ahh the old ego line. Was wondering how long it would take for that old chestnut to be trotted out. How did you guys arrive to that intangible folks?
If anything, Hook could do with a bit of an ego. A lack of it was what ended Henjak in the end.
By ego I mean egotism: "Egotism means placing oneself at the core of one's world with no concern for others" which for me, sums up his coaching style based on his refusal to learn and adapt, like last night, when we kept on putting set plays on the left when it was bloody obvious they weren't on.
The thing he lacks is what Bennett had in spades: bringing out the individual's best, unfettered by the stamp of the coach's egotism
