[Rumour] The Hunt for Karmichael's return to Broncos.

If his AFL experience makes his kicking game better how will it help his passing and handling?

Not to mention his tackling... he was already, let's just say, average when it came to tackling. Spending 3 years in a sport where tackling is really just cuddling is hardly going to have improved that.

However, his running should be a lot better. He should be much more agile.

I can't see him as a half, but he'd be a pretty good wing/fullback.

Given we have the Dally M fullback would we want to pay the ridiculous price Hunt would want to be a winger?

Maybe K hunt is the back plan if we don't get Milford. Barba is a full back, Hoffy is a winger neither are a 6 I think.

If Hunt becomes five-eighth it puts even more pressure on the other Hunt.

'With out a doubt Coxy" IT would take a while to gel but I think it could work.

K Hunt would be more a organising half then B Hunt. I would assume he would want the ball more then B hunt. K Hunts fitness and confidence I would believe would demand more from the players around him. Witch could be a good thing as B Hunt kinda plays 50 min games and goes missing a little and has to much to worry about with his own game. I don't think B Hunt can direct a team that well around the park and he needs to work on this dramatically.

First year together would be interesting but after yr 1 I think they could make the combo work.

I have no idea how a bloke who wasn't an organiser before he left rugby league, and then spent 4 years out of the game, could possibly come back and be an organising half. If K Hunt comes back as five-eighth, he'll be a running five-eighth. The organising will be left to Ben Hunt and Macca.

it seems 4 years in AFL apparently turns a non-ball-playing rugby league fullback into a first grade NRL five eighth. amazing is all i can say. maybe we should just send a few young guys over to AFL before they make their NRL debut?

wonder if it works for other sports too? will sending Thaiday over to soccer improve his catching and holding onto the ball ability? will sending Maranta over to Darts improve his pace? because both of those are as plausible as AFL turning Hunt into an organising five eighth.

You have made your point

I presume his awareness would be better, seeing as he'll be attuned to the 360 degrees in the AFL. That'll help in the halves. Also, the teamwork required to organise each play, call for the ball, get a head start on your opposition, position your body to best advantage, they're skills that would suit a half as well as be some tactics that will undoubtedly be of advantage if he can work with the coaches to leverage those skills for his team-mates. Eg, ball-runners inside/outside their defender (looking at you Gillett & Glenn), certainly positioning wingers for bombs (and working with them how to contest for the ball). Just thinking out loud.

Be prepared to be told how wrong you are... and how it is also wayne bennetts fault :P

Is he even interested in coming back ?

I haven't heard any direct quotes from KHunt himself.

Technically it is. If he wasn't such a good coach, the Broncos would never have been successful, the team would have folded, and we wouldn't be talking about a '2nd Brisbane team'. We wouldn't be here at all. This site would not exist and I would not have a Justin Hodges life-size sticker on my ceiling. Praise to Bennett.

That's what I am trying to point out I agree K hunt has been out of game for a while. But I also believe he will call more shots then B Hunt just put down to his confidence and on no other reason. K Hunt backs himself and his ability, B Hunt hasn't show us to much of that. K Hunt is a bigger personality and will demand more ball I think he will dominate a little and B Hunt sit back a little. In saying that you dont need the ball in hand to organise a team either, its the stuff off the ball that's important aswell.

K Hunt is and would be the more dominating out of the two and want the ball more. So I think a little more organization for K Hunt is what you will see. Not saying you will get a Johns type playmaker at all. But what we might get is K Hunt screaming at team mates to run straight, fill that hole in defence, get behind me for the offload etc..... Witch is part of organising a team and I think he will do a little more then B Hunt in that department. Look at last year Hodges was talking to players more then Hunt. Our Captain doesn't say to much to the players just refs.

Huge part of organising, is talk on the field. I think K Hunt can help us in that department witch will help our general organisation of team and structure. Certainly not making out K Hunt to be Lockyer or Johns, what I am making K Hunt out to be is a good talker and a dominate type player who wants the ball witch will help B Hunt out as he only wants the ball for 50 min a game and Macca cant play 80. So I am not advocating a broncos playmaking saviour but a quality kid who could help us and help B Hunt organise a team.

I'd definitely have Hunt back, but there's no chance I'd be playing him in the halves.

At best, he'd be a stopgap.
