Sack Griffin/New Coach Discussion

There's a lot more players in that Panthers side taking the pressure off him which is exactly what he needs, if he is left to do all the playmaking on his own you get the shit he dished up here for years.

Seriously average player made to look better than he is in a team unaffected by Origin.

It isn't that I am a big Wallace fan, it is the point that the Panthers have a way better coach than Sloth. Also for argument sake, are you guys saying that Wallace wouldn't do a better job in the 6 than Hoffman? Come on now. He works well in the Panthers because they do have Jamie Soward who does a lot of the creative stuff while Wallace does a lot of the workman halve work.

i actaully think ben hunt to 7 and wallace to 6 this year would of seen us looking very good. i know theres alot of hate here for wallace. but hes still a decent half. he wont win u games of football on his own. but he has a very good kicking game and knows how to play simple football and stick to a ame plan imo. he just needs to be partnered someone with good natural vision like hunt possesses.

but in sayin that if we did go for that option whose to say hunt would of had his breakout year hes had. reason hunt has been goin so well is becuase he knows he cant rely on anyone else in the halfs to get the broncos the win and it all falls on his shoulders. i actually think its been a blessing in disguise because its made himself realise he does have what it takes now to win a game of footy on his own skills and vision

Maybe so but the point is how much better is he playing under Ivan Cleary as opposed to Anthony Sloth?
Equally you could say Griffin has rejuvenated Parker's origin career, has turned Gillet into an origin player. Sorry to get in the way of you griffin hate, but you can't ignore both sides of the story.

He had his shot, he failed. He's gone and now we have a half who doesn't just put bombs up. Hunt is just as good defensively as well so we aren't missing much. I would have prefered Hunt and Prince as our halves this year though.

Fair enough but in doing so the defense takes a hit. Still that would be a very creative side that would have had defenses guessing.

Of course Wallace would make a far better pairing with Hunt that Hoggman, that goes without saying really.

The only issue I would've had, is that Hunt would probably defer to him as the dominant half, instead of the other way around, and it's unlikely we would see the side of Hunt we are seeing now... same thing goes for Prince btw.

What I am saying in a way, is that Hoggman at 5/8 may have been a good thing for Hunt...

Let's be grateful Pete is gone. Not only is he a mediocre player in a purple patch, but had he stayed, Ben Hunt would still be our bench hooker and Hoffman would currently be partnering Wallace in the halves.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing but we probably would have been better off putting Hunt in the halves to partner Lockyer in 2008 and not worried about signing Wallace. Yes Hunt would have been young but he'd be learning from the best in the business and would have had years to develop as a half as opposed to squandering his talent as a back up hooker.

Okay...So...Should we start asking where the **** this has come from?

Okay...So...Should we start asking where the **** this has come from?

Ben Hunt, Corey Parker, Sam Thaiday, Josh McGuire, Andrew McCullough... All our big players are starting to gel and our spine is coming together.

I'm surprised this hasn't been bumped yet ... so i'll save you guys the trouble.

despite Badger handing the game to the Sharks on a silver platter, i expect the knives will be out again ... go nuts

Sack him for no other reason other than leaving his golden boy in the 6.

The bottom line is Griffin has and always will be a terrible coach. His use of our bench has been nothing short of laughable for the entire season, whether it be leaving a 4th man unused or just filling it with absolute nuffies like Stagg and Wallace.

Griffins had **** all to do with Parker or Gillette. I suspect Griffin got the job primarily because he sounds like Wayne Bennett in interviews. We've had Griffin for years and had no success, enough excuses for him already !

I've lost hope that the Broncos board sees the error of their ways.

My only hope is Milford ignores everything he says so he doesn't become a homogenous, bulked up back.

And for his post match interviews.

Can't do that. He helped me drift off for a bit of a nap earlier today haha. Pretty sure I heard him say he liked our attitude also lol. Don't care if the refs gave some questionable calls when your team is leading by 22 points against a team that hasn't scored a single point in a months they should win by 50 not get fucking beat. Obviously their attitude was shit not good lol.

Gillett made Redcliffe development squads and Colts while Hook was there as coach, and Hook had him in his 20's and got him back from Norths.
