I have great fears that the players have known about this thing with Kevvie, the handshake and the underhanded way Seibold came to get the job far longer than we or the media have and that kind of explains why they don't play for him.

Boyd is absolutely killing anyone on his outsides potential, because he is the easiest outside back in the league to tackle. He can't/won't jump for high balls, his defense is average at best.

Until Siebs grows the grapes to drop Boyd, then I'll be joining the Siebold lynch mob.

We could replace Boyd with in his prime Greg Inglis and still look fucking terrible with Seibold at the helm. Boyd is and has been a problem, he has not even been close to our biggest problem. Is it too late to bring Wayne back for a couple of years?

His main beef was with Paul White, who will be gone. Maybe we can try this process of replacing Wayne again in a couple of years. Just pretend 2019 and 2020 never happened, bring Wayne home for 2021 and 2022.

A) With a competent board, who will select the correct replacement
B) When Wayne would like to retire on his own accord so the playing group doesn't revolt against the incoming coach

We don’t have to bring Wayne back. We just need to time travel and let him stay. He’d be gone by 2020 and we’d have Demetriou running the shop. No drama, no backstabbing, no rebuild years, no unrest within the team. There’s no way we would be in a worse position than we are now

Regardless of the defensive errors made that lead to him being in a 1 on 1 situation, do you know the sort of confidence boost a young team would get if they fucked up and allowed a line break only for their captain to make a massive 1 on 1 tackle and save their mistake from becoming a try?

His cancerous attitude and lack of effort is evident across the entire youth of this current playing group. Unfortunately, it looks terminal, so removing the cancer now probably wouldn't solve anything.

With that being said, whoever is pulling the strings at the club and isn't allowing Boyd to be dropped deserves equally as much blame as Boyd himself, whether that's Seibold, White or someone else, who knows.

He shouldn't have been playing first grade for the last year and a half if the team was being picked on form. I believe we would be in a significantly better spot right now in terms of just the mentality and resolve within the playing group if we cut ties with Boyd when it became immediately apparent that he was shitty about the Bennett situation and had no interest in putting in 100% for the club.

What if I told you the entire team was pissed about it, no less than Boyd was.

I do that because people who lack comprehension skills don’t understand that when I’m saying there’s other problems, I’m not saying Boyd is great.

Boyd is shit. I’ve said it numerous times last year and this year. I shouldn’t have to preface every comment with this but because people can’t understand that there’s other problems, people always think I’m defending him.

2. Bring in Kevin Walters on a single season only contract. The fans want it. The old boys want it. Now's the time to do it. The job goes back to the market at the end of the season, with Walters already tested as one of the applicants.

I'm not sure Kevvie is the greatest coach, let alone one who'll turn our team around, but he's available, keen as ****, and would shut everyone up who's been whinging about him being shafted. It would open a bridge to the past, and help reset the rot. He's also known not to take any shit from minor miscreants, including our very own Milford. We could use that now.

Really? There isn't a great deal of evidence to support that theory. Sure, he dropped a couple of players. When it was too late. And some forced changes.

I'm curious as to why the suggestion is being made to sack Seibold for a coach who's shown his coaching style isn't really any better. Who's shown a lack of ability to recognize a side's strengths and create a gameplan that utilizes those strengths.

He's a good assistant. He's good at working with a group in the background away from the spotlight and the pressure. But in terms of head coaching ability. He has shown completely **** all.

I'm curious as to why he still hasn't got a head coaching gig with an NRL club despite there being opportunities. It really seems no one wants to touch him. Perhaps I'm reading too much into things, but in situations like that, there's usually a pretty good reason.

Boyd didnt even really do a great deal wrong last night tbf. He didn't offer much, but not many did either. Imagine if he got stepped like Haas did for example for the Pearce try. The meltdown would have been massive. At the moment, I'd actually say even despite him being done, he is the least of our worries right now.

The decline started to hit in 2018. The easiest way to see the shift from a great defensive unit that fought for each other every week and had great attacking upside is just comparing the for and against.
