Tallis reckons Kasiano shouldn't have been suspended because Parker was holding his legs and if he'd struck out and hit Parker's shoulder there would be no issue.
Tallis is a Broncos-hating irrelevance that has no concept of reality. If you hit someone in the face with a swinging arm, you can't argue that if it'd hit the shoulder it wouldn't have mattered. That's why there's careless, reckless, deliberate etc. It doesn't matter how, the onus is on the player to not hit someone in the head. Kasiano's kick was deliberate, at best it could be reckless because he couldn't be sure it would hit his face. Careless would be if he's struck him inadvertently while trying to get up, which is definitely not the case. As far as grading, has there been worse? I know tags aren't as sharp as they were when we were kids with 12mm metal screw-ins, so there must have been a fair bit of force to open up Parker's face like that.
