I don't mind Cobbo coming in at clubland. Staggs seems to cover it well if they get overlapped. Seems to be an effective system they have on that side. But I guess with a new team it might not work the same.

Or it could be that he’s doing all of the poor things he’s done in club land and it’s not going to work at Origin level? There’s flaws in his game and he really needs to fix them. Won’t happen with people excusing the errors, so DCE bringing it up could work well.

This withering spray never happened. DCE stopped the game and pulled the whole edge together to talk about how Dearden had put the Jets through twice and then they corrected it.

It was the first opposed session of the camp and Dearden was deliberately being Cleary.

It was 100% handled correctly by everyone. Badel has added plenty of mayo to the story.

Could also be a difference in playing style, we typically defend with the winger coming out early then have the cover defence coming in from behind if they pass the jam(typically the backrower and fullback).

That can be hard to teach another team how to do that, just like it can be hard to unlearn that for a different sliding defence strategy.
