Is that even possible?
Yes it is. I’ve owned him on sc all year so have been watching him closely every round, he sucked big time at 5/8: looked like a headless chook.

No,

We should've had Munster, but we fucked it.To be honest, we should be freeing up salary cap space for Munster and Ponga.
Releasing Bird and Boyd would free up nearly 2 mil. Add in a few others such as Macca and Milford...
We should have more than enough space in the cap
1. Kalyn Ponga
6. Cameron Munster
7. Thomas Dearden
9. Jake Turpin

It doesn't really translate at the moment with how teams setup. When Ponga was at 6 Pearce had control of the middle of the field, Ponga had the left side and Watson at fullback had the right side generally. It was more to do with how Brown had them setup and playing rather than Ponga sucking. Once Ponga was moved back he was allowed to roam both sides again. At 6 he was stuck on his one side of the field waiting for Pearce to pass it to him.Fair enough. Maybe he needed more time in the role. On paper you would think his skill set would translate pretty well.
The fullback nowadays is basically like the old school five eighth... so you should be looking to have your best attacking threat there. It's an absurd tactic to limit certain players to certain sides of the field and I believe the only real reason that it started and still remains in the game is to help teams with transitioning from attack to defense ie. If your 6 sits on the left in attack then he can easily fall back into line in defense

The fullback is allowed to roam because he defends behind the defensive line ie. No need to transition back into defense.
I think that setup is starting to finally go out of vogue and teams are gradually moving to 1 half being a dominant on ball half allowing the other half and fullback to roam around, but I'd say it's still a way off yet, because teams are fine scoring points with just a half and a fullback... having a 7, 6 and 1 all in close proximity can start to become too crowded (just look at the dragons), but teams that can figure out how to get them all clicking will dominate and other teams will copy
I personally think something is just not quite right about him. Got a Jarryd Hane feel. Sure hes been great, but hes also predicable to smart sides. We would get much better value out of 2x players on 600k than him alone. Hes also said hes open to playing rugby again, too much a of a liability.
The quality of player you can buy for 700k or so huge
Christ, we can just add him to the ever growing list.We should've had Munster, but we fucked it.
Thank Christ you're not in charge of the books if that's honestly how you value Ponga. For all his obviuos talent and potential ceiling, and individual brilliance, to date he has achieved/won nothing
Not worth 1 mill let alone 1.5
Your gonna have to tell me your point @Unbreakable
I've tried writing a reply 3 times but I'm literally lost for words

Darius Boyd, Ash Taylor, Ben Hunt, Kieran Foran, Moses Mbye, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Tyrone Peachey, Bryce Cartwright, Matt Moylan, Michael Jennings, Josh Reynolds, Will Chambers, Dane Gagai, Ryan James, Dylan Napa, Shannon Boyd, Josh Jackson, Nathan Peats, Jarrod Wallace.
What do all of these players have in common? I'll give you a hint, it's two things.
1 -
They're all reported to be on $600K or above per season
2 -
They're all fucking horrible
Agree with all of them except Foran. I'd go as far as to say that he's been one of the form halves in the comp at times this year given the state of the team he plays in. Obviously not worth the money he's on considering he plays every 3rd game.
