I got the impression Ivan wasn't particularly interested in looking at up and coming talent. He was so focussed on tactics and strategy he took his eyes off the players themselves.

Everyone knows I'm not a gnome, pardon... Henjak fan, but tactics were definitely his strongest attribute.
When the team was in form without injuries to any major player, the team performed pretty well, and Ivan deserves credit for that. But that's pretty much it...

No Doubt he had some influence on his career but in regards to getting him back into the Broncos system it was Hook's call.

IMO Gillett become a better player mentally when he got away from Trigger. He stopped playing with that chip on his shoulder which so many of Trigger's player seem to form.
