NEWS Staggs in strife again

The NRL's Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (aka Integrity Unit) is shit sifting Kotoni Stagg's sauced up antics at the Eatons Hill Hotel over Easter. They have requested CCTV footage hoping to indentify a woman who can help them stitch up Kotoni.

The story currently circulating alleges the NSWelshman was on the turps with his mates before heading to the Eatons Hill Hotel in search of some action. All fine until just before 3am when the Broncos centre mustered the courage to make his move on one of a gaggle of women. Staggs tried his signature move of extending his arm around her but this time it didn't work. The lady nightowl allegedly didn't care for Stagg's advance and asked him to keep his mitts to himself. Bouncers intervened and promptly turfed the highly eligible bachelor out on his ear. And that was the end of that. Until the NRL got wind of it.

So now Kotoni has run afoul of the code's moral guardians 3 times in 12 months. Not a good look for the player holding the entire club to ransom over his contract.

Top NRL Mullah Andrew Abdo said this of his last incident back in February:

“We have issued him with a $10,000 fine and most importantly, he has to complete an education course and he has to meet with me personally and the head of integrity, together with the club CEO, before he is permitted to play again. We want him to understand the impact of his words on people and the responsibility that players have to the community. His language is utterly unacceptable but this is about making sure he understands the impact of that and actually changes."

Education

“There are three components - the fine, the education course and making sure he sits down with us. Getting them to meet with me is not the silver bullet, but I want to explain to them the impact this has on their personal brand, on the club brand and on the game’s brand and then there are two ways they can go from there."

“This is important in relation to Kotoni which is why we want to meet with him before he returns to the field.”

Can someone direct me to the links? I mean links to him speaking about his future. Sometimes you learn more from what's not said and body language.
I think you would have to check badels asshole for the link, seems where most stories about the broncos come from

If you really want to read hehe

Correct me if I’m wrong but other than Bird and to a lesser extent Oates I can’t think of any big money signings in the backs, it’s all been in the forwards.
Cough Chough Boyd

He was brought in as a spine player mostly but noted all the same. He did spend some stone in the centres.
He was also very good for us for 3 years, ordinary for two, and good enough in his last (plus the previous stint)
Reed, Thaiday and Boyd all had outstanding careers but are often thought of far less than they deserve because they played too long. In reeds case, he finished halfway through a season.
It's funny but we lost Boyd because of the board essentially sacking Bennet the first time, along with a few others and somehow failed to learn from it.
I sometimes wonder how good the likes likes of Boyd, karmichael hunt, Carl Webb and Dave Taylor would have been with us if we had managed to hold onto them.
It's worth remembering this isn't the first time this kind if exodus has happened.

So now it’s Newcastle who are trying their luck with Staggs.

I find it staggering that the Roosters can have players like Keary come up for contract negotiations and not a single club makes a pitch for him! Not one single club. Yet here we are with a third or forth club trying to grab Staggs.

Countless other players resign without a single offer yet every Broncos player that is in contract talks have multiple clubs chasing them.

If you didn’t know any better you’d think there was a concerted effort down south to severely weaken this club.

I think you will find its really down to the success of a club. When WB was here and things were cracking in 15/16, we had absolutely no prob. Its been some lean years before and after....a player doesnt want to commit to a club thats a shambles.

I bet Newcastle aren't interested, his manager is getting desperate.

Because the exposure in the media comes from the player agent's trying to drive up interest and therefore dollars. They don't need to with the Roosters, if it's a player they want to keep they know they're going to get top dollar anyway. Name your price.

Has that ever happened before? Where a player was suspended for an off-field incident and they withheld the suspension until he was set to return?

What the heck? I don't mind setting standards but this seems super weird.

Is to late to name him fir this week?

can we actually do that?

Dunno would have to go through the previous Broncos suspensions to find out

The media tried their best to ensure it when lodge was about to play again.
