NEWS Staggs in strife again

The NRL's Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (aka Integrity Unit) is shit sifting Kotoni Stagg's sauced up antics at the Eatons Hill Hotel over Easter. They have requested CCTV footage hoping to indentify a woman who can help them stitch up Kotoni.

The story currently circulating alleges the NSWelshman was on the turps with his mates before heading to the Eatons Hill Hotel in search of some action. All fine until just before 3am when the Broncos centre mustered the courage to make his move on one of a gaggle of women. Staggs tried his signature move of extending his arm around her but this time it didn't work. The lady nightowl allegedly didn't care for Stagg's advance and asked him to keep his mitts to himself. Bouncers intervened and promptly turfed the highly eligible bachelor out on his ear. And that was the end of that. Until the NRL got wind of it.

So now Kotoni has run afoul of the code's moral guardians 3 times in 12 months. Not a good look for the player holding the entire club to ransom over his contract.

Top NRL Mullah Andrew Abdo said this of his last incident back in February:

“We have issued him with a $10,000 fine and most importantly, he has to complete an education course and he has to meet with me personally and the head of integrity, together with the club CEO, before he is permitted to play again. We want him to understand the impact of his words on people and the responsibility that players have to the community. His language is utterly unacceptable but this is about making sure he understands the impact of that and actually changes."

Education

“There are three components - the fine, the education course and making sure he sits down with us. Getting them to meet with me is not the silver bullet, but I want to explain to them the impact this has on their personal brand, on the club brand and on the game’s brand and then there are two ways they can go from there."

“This is important in relation to Kotoni which is why we want to meet with him before he returns to the field.”

Even if you don’t agree with the hubbub about his alleged behaviour (personally I do because these guys are role models for young men on how to treat women), he was out on the piss while rehabbing a serious injury. Kotoni is not going to be a character signing, he’s being signed for his obvious football ability. Drinking during rehab shows he’s not taking that seriously. I would not be spending 700k on someone who shows such little commitment.

Also, the point is, they got rid of them prior to their behavioural episodes.

ah ... i get it now. what you're saying is Bellamy and Robinson are psychic ... interesting.

Mitchell would be playing for the Roosters right now if he didn't **** them around ... we should take a leaf out of their book for that ... not for their psychic powers

Same way they handled Munster , JAC , Latrell amongst others
I'm not sure they had 3 incidents in under 12 months. I think this time around for Kotoni it's more a culmination of having a number of incidents rather than the severity of this one. Of course, we could get some info which could make it seem not as bad or much worse.

No, they saw the writing on the wall. ****, how hard is it? Scott was a known dickhead at storm remember

if they saw the writing on the wall then neither gave a shit because they got offered deals ... they just choose to sign elsewhere ... hell in Mitchell's case the Robinson was so concerned about his behaviour that he offered him 800K a season (this offer definitely shows Mitchell he needs to pull his head in)

Munster was shocking and how did that turn out .

They have a far stronger system than us so that probably helps. Thing with Munster he seemed mainly to have a problem handing his drink and it was causing him trouble. I dont know what it is with Staggs, but he just seems a bit of a sleazy little creep to me. Who knows what this " unwanted advances was " But if this woman has said no to him and he wont take no for an answer then its getting a little dangerous imo. I have always thought he is a little too big for his boots personally whenever i have seen him out and he thinks his own shit doesnt stink. He needs bringing down a peg or two and i really hope we dont offer him the same contract now that we were going to.

Sounds like he put his arm around her and she didn't appreciate it, which is fair but I would hardly call it being sleazy.
Maturity comes with age

We'll need lawyers and contracts before even looking at women soon, a guy at work got reprimanded for making comment about one of the admin girls new hair style - while other females making similar comments were not. This is where we're heading folks.
The funny thing is women feel perfectly content critiquing men and do so without a care in the world. Great example yesterday at my local gps. They have a new app for things medical HotDocs. The staff, the counter staff that is (3 women, 1 gay guy) happily told me about how they were ranking the doctors to select the practices HOT DOC. The doctors are all men, currently. There have been females many times in the past. Imagine if we men were ranking our female co workers on their 'hotness'.

We dont know what he did really. Its very vague at the moment but we know he has put his hands on her. Its going to be a wait and see situation now to get the full picture.

I've seen him out plenty and i know what he can be like. I'll stand by what i said, i think he is sleazy. I dont think you can just say its a lack of maturity totally. Plenty of blokes his age dont carry on like pork chops, and plenty do as well, Difference is Kotoni is in the public eye. If i were the Broncos though i'd be hauling him over the coals for his lack of professionalism both in the standards we should expect from a Broncos player and his rehabilitation from a major injury.

You can tell just by looking at him he’s a fucking tool.
