That spine as a whole never played together at Origin level.

Morris just doesn't have the heart to play Origin. That blunder last night showed that. Perfect example of the extra effort - Yow Yeh rushing through even though he was a long shot at scoring, and Morris not even going for the ball even though he clearly had it.

And Pearce really needs creative players around him to do well. He just doesn't have that instinct and vision that players like Thurston, Cronk, Carney etc do.

Regarding Pearce, that's BS. He's quite the creative player.

[icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1.

When he has Todd Carney with him for sure. Otherwise he's shit.

for Ennis? No. Next year maybe. They need to give Ennis time to prove himself. If he is still rubbish by the end of game 3, then next year Farah will no doubt get first crack.

They've given Ennis like 2 years to prove himself and all he has proven is he's shit.

Pearce was a passenger last night. He's the fucking halfback he should have been the leader but he is a mouse. He scored a try fair enough but anyone worth their salt would have been pushing up there.

Dump whoever you like but not the 1-6-7-9. They need to be given opportunities.

Nsw need to drop morris. he is a myth at origin level. Good club finisher but thats it. They NEED hayne in that side. Pearce and soward were not doing enough play making to worry QLD, hayne would take care of that. If i was a blue selector, i would bring in hayne for morris, farah for ennis, and lahrs for king.

As for us, inglis and / or hodges to come in if fit, lillyman to make way for taylor.

Lolz. NSW have been making changes for the past 5 years and QLD supporters have bagged the shit out of us for doing so. Now NSW supporters are saying "Nope, let's keep changes to the bare minimum" and now Queenslanders are suggesting 5-6 changes to the squad that was so close to beating QLD on their home turf. Talk about contradicting yourselves - It's what Queenslanders do best.

As for Morris, Good finish but that's it? Is that what you think? Don't make me start naming Queensland players that were picked purely on a single playing attribute. Nothing wrong with Morris, you need a good finisher - the bloke doesn't offer too much else but man, he can score a try in the most ridiculous scenario's.

And Soward and Pearce are fine - It's been ONE **** game. How can you say they are not doing enough? Have they even ever played together before?? They will do enough, give it time. We don't need heartless gits like Hayne in our team right now.

Farah for Ennis? No. Next year maybe. They need to give Ennis time to prove himself. If he is still rubbish by the end of game 3, then next year Farah will no doubt get first crack.

This team nearly beat QLD. This team showed more heart than any other NSW team I've seen in a LONG time. Why the **** would you change a single member of that team? Sure they all weren't perfect but you can't drop them because of a mistake or poor form - Need to have some faith in them. At the end of the day, we are facing the best rugby league spine in HISTORY. Can anyone seriously name a better spine in history of rugby league than Slater, Thurston, Lockyer and Smith?

Obviously, to beat this ridiculous team we have a lot of work to do but dropping players won't make a difference.

Ill answer this the best way i can. I think if hayne and farah were in the NSW team on wednesday, NSW would probably have won. Simple as that

I agree with you 100% on this.

As long as everyone is fit, NSW should stick with the exact same team for next game. I don't agree with the original team that was picked, that I do agree they should stick with them. Changing players, especially in core positions, hasn't served them too well for the last 5 years, so they need to try somethign different and actualyl have some faith in the players.

Who care if the lose this series, if it means that they might actually be competitive next year, or for the years after that. Short term pain for long term gain I say. It's not like 6 series in a row is really any different to 5.

Boyd to centre and Vidot or Barba on the wing??
What's a vidoT

He's a Canberra player. Very good too. Do you actually follow the NRL?

Well not so much this year - he's playing QLD Cup at the moment isn't he?

I couldn't remember if he said Walters or Conescu, but I thought it was Conescu cause I am pretty sure Belcher and Walters careers never crossed so they didn't play in any Origins together.

Regarding potential changes for Game 2. My opinion is that when I first saw the NSW team, I thought "Ricky is not picking players to necessarily win this game or this series, but to try and build a team for some longer term success." I still think that, so therefore with my impartial hat on think they shouldn't really make any unforced changes. And given that Ricky is the sole selector, I think this will be the case.

I still don't think this NSW team can beat Qld this year - we didn't play anywhere near our best this week and still only just got away with it; whilst I think NSW played almost to their best. But I do think if they stick with this crop of pretty young guys they will be much more of a threat to us next year and beyond for a few years (depending on how we keep developing/what players we bring through as our current core drop off over the next few years).

With my totatlly biased Qld hat on however - I think they should make wholesale changes :-)

Only watch the broncos play and state of origin and tests and G.F

That's about it don't have much time for the rest

It's one thing to stick with a bunch of guys, but it's another to stick with crap players who have been playing like megacrap coughKingcough.

NSW need to make a few changes. you can argue 'keep the team together, thats the only way theyll get better' all you want, but make sure you get the RIGHT team before sticking with them through thick and thin.

Morris shouldnt be there ahead of Hayne. i dont care that morris is a specialist winger, he offers nothing other than being able to catch a ball and put it down after his centre has done all the work to set up a try.

they shouldnt be using 2 hookers. its stupid at club level, and its absolutely unforgivable at origin level. Queensland have learned from past mistakes, with Smith now playing all 80 minutes. Ennis has been nothing but an absolute let down at origin level - right from the start, i was one of his biggest 'hes made for origin' supporters (if thats the right word for it), but he has just completely failed on the big stage. im not the biggest farah fan, but i think its time to give him a fair crack.

Pearce needs to stay, IMO he is going to be one of the top halves in a few years. Soward on the other hand, well he was next to useless out there. his much vaunted kicking game was just completely smashed by the QLD backs, and his running game was non-existant. being able to carve up in the regular season against 12 rubbish teams and a handful of competitive teams doesnt always equate to being able to do it against the best of the best. maybe hes just not an origin standard player?

next year they need to just pick carney and pearce and stick with them. thats the halves pairing that NSW can form a team around IMO.

King needs to go, he was completely useless.

In spite of that he was still named in the QLD squad in April. It's been hard for any outside back to play well at Canberra this year. The ball never seems to come wider than the backrow. I'm really looking forward to a Cooma/Campese halves pairing, I think the team will come good.

Vidot was playing like ass.

Always good for at least two crucial errors a game.
