i get paid by a charity sometimes - should my work go unpaid simply because theyre a charity?

I am assuming you actually do work to earn that salary. I think the conjecture is whether Inglis or Cronk actually worked for the charity at all!
technically, yes, i do work to earn that salary [icon_lol1.

maybe they did a few promos or something?

No doubt the truth will be revealed...or at least the truth according to Briareos, Aigaios and Aiolos.

I want this thread alive again.

I am of the opinion that Craig Bellamy is unable to coach without using a side which is not restrained by the salary cap, case in point the Blues and the Storm. Though he was able to "beat" sides coaching Melbourne, his lack of success at origin level has proven that if the side he is up against is also free from the cap he brings nothing to the table. He coached the Blues to one contested victory, and one victory after the series was settled.

Unless afforded some monetary advantage, he is unable to coach sides to success. This is underlined by the fact that Melbourne didn't go unbeaten throughout the time they were cheating the NRL.

What a spanner.

So what you are saying that with all things being equal - Bellamy is actually not even half the coach Bennett is

Bellamy is in charge of the machine that created all of those elite players over the years.

Any other coach would have been drilled just like Bellamy was against this Qld side.

I think today the finsings of the salary cap audit are finally made public, hope so... Time to find out what was going on

Storm star's paper trail rort

An undisclosed financial arrangement between a senior Melbourne Storm player and one of the club's independent directors - believed to be worth six figures - will be revealed as part of the embattled club's salary cap rorting.

Details of the deal will be among several revelations when the findings of the Deloitte investigation into the club are released by the club's owner News Limited early next week.

I do't care who it is. They need to be de-registered.

Well that will certainly hurt the independant directors' lawsuit against News Ltd and the NRL - all along they have claimed they didn't even know what was happening and it now appears not only did at least one know - he was a big part of it.

wow, that's amazing. 42 rep players unsigned for next year, could be a chance to get cheap pickups.

Doesn't say they are current rep players - probably a whole bunch of them are NSW off-casts who played 1 SOO game and are actually crap.

Or World Cup matches for the minnows.

Pretty much...

A total of 108 players are off contract as NRL clubs hold off on the shopping list of talent until Deloitte finally announces its findings this week. Some of the biggest names in rugby league, including Willie Mason, Michael Jennings, Brett Kimmorley, Luke O'Donnell, Ben Hornby, Brett Finch, Steve Matai, Michael Gordon, Frank Pritchard, Carl Webb, Eric Grothe and Mat Rogers are still without a home for next season.

Jennings, O'Donnell and Gordon are the only players I'm surprised about from those mentioned.

So yeah... most of the shit players are looking for new jobs.

Be a good team for Melby next year

1. Billy
3. Gringo
7. Cronk
9. Smith

That is all - and they'll still be over the cap, think they'll struggle in the go forward

Yo Melbourne Storm, hope your leagues club and HQ and turd new stadium burn frikkin down - Geez I hate Melbourne so goddamn much

Shame about Lima. Hopefully he comes back at some point, I rate him highly.
