It won't matter who they pick.... storm will flog them. I will look forward to reading the winging excuses then.

ROFL @ Storm fans.

Worst thing about Storm fans is when there's 50 people turn up on Saturday night and they lose, they'll say "who cares, the AFL Grand Final was massive".

I bit the bullet financially and will be flying to Melbourne to cheer the boys on! _woohoo_ _woohoo_

After the abuse I experienced from their scum supporters in June at Olympic Park the chance to roll the Storm on their home turf in a Preliminary Final was too tempting to pass up.

Steve, have you ever been present in Melbourne for a Broncos victory? ie, were you there in 2002 or 2003?

If not, can you please cancel your flights and tickets?

TIA.

No sir. I have experienced losses in that shit hole of a venue in 2006 and 2009. I did however see us get up in round 3 earlier this year. That counts for something right :S

No.

On behalf of the people of Brisbane and Queensland, I am demanding your tickets are torn up, both for plane and stadium.

If you refuse to comply, i will notify the airlines that you are a known terrorist intending to fly a plane into the Q1 building....which would actually be a community service :P

Can't be doing that. The building looks awesome. I stayed there once, and it was the best hotel I've stayed at.

It was great, sitting back with a nice XXXX, listening to Brien Adams. So relaxing.

Aside from Inglis, who is always on fire, there is no one in the Storm side that really scares me:

White - we smashed his partner Weyman and Weyman's much better then white
Cronk - overrated hack - Scott Prince much better and we shut him down
Smith - just started the gradual decline into mediocrity - bad luck, outplayed by Ennis in SOO
Slater - big game choker - he may end up playing for the drag-queens - defs worth 8 points to us
Hoffman - hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha

Since losing Jeremy Smith and Kafusi - they have no punch - only have to worry about Johnson and Inglis, and we have more then enough big game talent to overwhelm them

We'll out physical them and their young guns will crumble under the pressure and the big players will self destruct under the weight of expectation on them - plus they expect to win, and we all know how that went for St Chokers

I'm actually usually worried about Hoffman, he can be a damaging left edge runner. But seeing the way Lockyer man-handled Creagh (two games in a row!), I'm not really afraid of him anymore.

Hoffman is rubbish.

Sika Manu is there most damaging forward - and he's gone for the year.

If we can prevent the Storm's forwards from getting a roll on then we should be able to contain them.

Take Slater out of the game by kicking to wingers, or kicking the ball dead.

As I mentioned earlier

Hoffman - Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

With any luck Slater plays his customary piss poor game this Saturday night. Inglis and Slater are the two players who could destroy us. I think we have more firepower so if our forwards aim up I think we can do it no matter who replaces Wallace.

-White was superb in week 1 of the finals and generally speaking he is for Melbourne its just that he can't make the step up to Origin.
-Cronk is an underrated halfback, he executes at a higher rate than any halfback in the game except maybe for Kimmorley. He is so clinical and is a quality defender.
-Smith is the game's best hooker who was outplayed in 1 Origin by Ennis when his pack whole side played crap against a side that had a lot more to play for, has beaten both Buderus and Farah head to head in Origin battles consistently and as an organiser there is no better hooker in the competition.
-Slater love or hate him has been consistently one of the best fullbacks in the game for a long time now and despite his flaws is worth far more points to his team than his opponents particularly when you consider his freakish ability to save tries as well as score and create them.

You also say they lack punch without J.Smith and Kaufusi LOLZ, Smith I agree is a huge loss but the emergence of Blair as a wrecking ball and the quality of Lima easily cover for this. Kaufusi was/is crap since he did his knee he has been rubbish and he proved that this year by failing to keep a starting spot in a pack with one decent prop (Tronc). Their pack withstood an onslaught from an in form Manly pack in the first half of the week 1 final and then came out on top humiliating a pack of premiership quality. I know everyone on here loves to hate the Storm but FFS give them and their players some credit.

Look I am not making any effort to hide my anti-storm agenda - hate those melbourne players, I honestly don't think the team will be able to trouble us even without Wall - however, you did use the words "Slater" & "Consistent" in the same sentence, right?

Look I agree Manly did have an immense pack, as we saw when they actually destroyed the eels earlier this year, and Melbourne did well to beat them, but really, they'd run out of gas by then and were not a shadow on where they were earlier this year

Lima is no better then Kenny and Blair doesn't hold a candle to Taylor - I was worried about Tolman, but since Simsy stood up, he is the form back-rower remaining in the comp and will be at his best against Melbourne

The thing about Cronk is that he is considered "underrated" because he is not very good

Also, live in the present, Smith was great - 2005-7, but he hasn't been at that same level since

I stand by my comments - though at least you didn't bother defending Hoffman

Hate those Melbourne players

Agree to disagree, Hoffman is shit though.

Totally entitled to your opinion - though, I'll tell you what I hate most of all - bloody bandwagon jumpers who don't care about NRL but support Melbourne, bastards (of course not calling you that, just saying)

Hate those Melbourne players

Oh I don't like Melbourne at all. I just see quality in a fair chunk of their squad, I hope we beat them by 50 and that everything you say comes true and that I look like I know nothing. I also hate band wagoners and their are always plenty around come this time of year.
