Chappelli spoke sense on the issue. With the introduction of DRS players are no longer given out for padding up. That needs to change. If they don't offer a shot the umpire's call should stand.
That is the best old ball bowling performance I have seen from the Australian bowling unit in at least 2 or 3 years. They were fantastic. Finally Peter Poo was pitching it up and was able to strike gold with a hint of reverse swing.
Ponting also looked in fine touch - I haven't seen him play that well in years. It was a staggering turn-around from a very, very averaging looking first innings 60. In saying that he must go once Watto is fit. The Huss continued on with his form from abroad. There are still some runs left in Mr Cricket.

Do we need to rush Watson and Harris back in?
If Mr Cricket can get his ton and push the lead up past 250 (hopefully over 300) we can be in with a chance provided the umps show us some love and we bowl like we have been

Watson won't be fit for the SCG test and I don't see the point in bringing Harris back yet.

I agree. However it might be worth noting that Hilfenhaus has really struggled at the SCG in the shield over the years. That's the case for Harris, but certainly after taking a Pfeiffer Hilfenhaus deserves to retain his spot.
