Yeah what was I thinking 2 spinners for perth. Who replaces North? Kwaja?
Major JW Hochstetter said:If Kat is out for the rest of the series and Hughes cashes in, it could be curtains for him. Sad if it turns out that way. Without him, there'll be a distinct lack of leadership in the batting order.
Coxy said:Good to see people finally asking questions of Watson's mental strength. Sure, he shows good composure early in the innings but always goes out after a start. Never goes on with it. He's not an opener.
Bucking Beads said:Only options are Phil Hughes, Phil Jaques and probably Khawaja who opened his whole junior career. I think Hughes will go in for Katich and the selectors will be reluctant to move Watson even though IMO I am more worried about Watson getting out for 50 all the time rather than 0

I worry about the seeming lack of intensity and desire in the whole team.

and care factor.
I still reckon Clarke's back is playing up, watch him run to chase down the ball, no way is he moving freely.

I also had a thought that once Tim Paine is fit we could have him open in Test matches. He started his first class career as an opener. He is a good enough bat and needs to be in the team now. Haddin deserves his spot though so having Paine open would be good for the future IMO.
