Basically Hussey needs to stay in all day with North and/or Haddin, or we are stuffed because our tail is hopeless with the willow. Would be nice to have Smith or O'Keefe there that can bat a bit.

even Haurtiz at 8 makes our tail so much better. Smith should never be picked at 8 as a bowler though.

Agreed, but unfortunately with Katich's injury it looks like we won't be able to move Watson, but the plus side of that may be that we can put Smith at 6. Surely if North fails tomorrow it will be curtains for him this series, and I think the Doherty experiment has failed. Not having a go at them for trying but I think it's limited overs for his international career. If Swann has no trouble getting wickets you can't put Doherty's performance down to the pitches.

So in Perth I'd like to see:

5. Hussey
6. Smith
