Coming off a ton and 5 wicket haul not likely. It seems the selectors were correct in the team they have picked so far.

Very happy to have been proven wrong (for this game at least), although without hindsight I still maintain that Bollinger, of all the bowlers, had no case to be dropped. He's always a chance when he pitches it up, so if he can lose to tough-guy bang it in short rubbish, he'll continue to do OK.

Johnson is very close to being given a rest IMO. He's turning into the Mike Hussey of the bowling attack and living off past glories. A shame because clearly he holds the x-factor in our team and oozes potential, but most of the time he's throwing pies.

Excellent result.

I reckon 7-8/300-320 is a top effort for a fielding side first day at the Gabba, but all out for 260 is just gold for our chances. Hopefully we can keep all 10 going in to stumps and post 400+ over the next couple of days.

Down here in NSW we've got a choice of the News, The Nanny and The Flinstones on the Nein channels.

Incredible that this is not only allowed to happen, but planned to happen. No final session finishes within 2 hours anymore.

Anyway, looks like we're doing ok so far, just a few more overs to survive.
