The Dolphins discussion

I don't know, I think he should give up on any chance for career progression and putting food on his family's table if it means being disloyal to the Broncos.

FFS. Good luck, Corey, hope you get a gig.

If I had to vote he’d be a full time assistant with us right now

Ponga to the Dolphins is growing louder. No clear answer around the precise details of his player option but it appears he has the option to leave in 2023 - and you know the NRL will help create wiggle room in whatever clause in his contract may prevent the move.

Rothfield reporting $1.4m per season.

He really should be their number 1 or 2 target if they can get him. He could be the face of the franchise and playing under Bennett is a lot better than playing under a poor coach like O'Brien.

maybe i should hire Ponga's management to negotiate a new contract for me ... they seem to be very good at it

Heard a whisper that Semi Radradra is keen to move back to these shores and Wayne has already been in contact.

I don't mind Redcliffe throwing the kitchen sink at Ponga they need a huge fish and that would set them up for years to come, it marks them as a destination club and everyone in the media quickly forgets about salary, so they can keep on signing more big names.

I can see them maybe going as high as 1-1.1M to land the big name signing to attract others but 1.4 is media BS. I sit on the side of Ponga is a bit overrated but as far as marketing goes, he'd be just about the perfect first signing.

Not a player movement as such. But there is a fellow Cheer Dad (our daughters are in the same team) that used to be an elite strength & conditioning coach for the Maroons and has worked for the Broncos in the past. And there is a very quiet but very real league setup being built around the Ipswich -> Toowoomba area. Lots of money being thrown there. If you look at the NRL and their suggestions of a 5th Queensland team, this guy thinks it's already happening.

That would mean the NRL is thinking more than 3 weeks ahead so this is fake news.
