I am worried that Kev will recruit someone like Ash Taylor. Possibly Corey Norman. Potentially Ben Hunt. Maybe Moses Mbye.

If we swap Bird for Hunt I'd be okay with that.

Hope they get Taylor then. I can't see him leaving the Titans though especially if they have a good season in 21.

I watch most Titans games and to be honest, Taylor has had a pretty great year in comparison to the past few seasons. He has really excelled with having Fogarty taking a lot of the game management pressure off his shoulders. Plus I think Holbrook has somewhat helped unlock the key to his talent.

Spot on. I think I wrote a similar thing months back. He himself said Holbrook simplified his role. With the right coach going 'home' to Brisbane would look attractive I'd think. Anyway, probably not the right thread for me to air my thoughts on Taylor!

Taylor is much maligned, no doubt. With good reason too might I add. His past few years have been underwhelming, considering the unlimited potential he looked to have when he first burst on the scene. In saying that though, a coach like Kev would be someone I think Ash would thrive under.

Keep Dearden at 7, and bring Ash into 5/8 where has played and excelled this year, and we might be onto a good thing. I would be quite happy to swap Milford for Taylor to be honest.

Just confirmed by the QRL that Karl Morris has agreed for Kevvie to "have input" into the Maroons team up to the end of October only. He will apparently be involved with the team while they are based in Qld before going across to Adelaide.

QRL Chair Bruce Hatcher said the extent of Kev's involvement would be "fair to him and fair to us", but realises he has all the Broncos player rosters, culture and other issues to deal with.

500k is bang on fair value. I love Walters but he isn't worth much more than that. If he becomes an awesome coach he can demand close to a million a year pretty quickly.

The only coaches worth a million are Bennett/Robinson/Bellamy. It still astounds me the board thought Seibold was worth 800k-1M per year for a 5 year contract. That's absolutely crazy money for a nobody coach who turned out to be the worst coach ever.

No. Because when he starts to stink it up he'll never get dropped. He's like 26, he's had his time to shine.

Billy certainly plays with a lot of heart and effort, and put in a couple of great games for the TigPies in 2020. I have my doubts though he has the class to be a permanent 5/8. I see him more as a hooker, where he mainly played this year.
