I really hope he does well. I'm just not confident.

We definitely need some more experience around the place. Paul white is gone and he was useless. Peter Nolan needs to go as well. I like the decision to go after Bellamy, but he's Melbourne through and through so it rubs me the wrong way a bit.

The sad thing is, Bennett shouldn't have been an ass hat and agreed to move to a coaching director role with kevvie being the coach in 2019. That would have been smooth, a bit of a freshen up but also keeping the history.

Time will tell how it works out, but the Broncos as a club probably have 1 or 2 years to really turn things around or they will lose a hell of a lot of money when another Brisbane team enters the comp.
 
also on the lack of a press conference ... i'm pretty sure we're not the only club that didn't hold one to announce a new head coach this year. they seem few and far between, could be some COVID restrictions at play here

Well they have been slacking off, they have not swept my driveway ever. I will forgive you all admin if you come around and tidy my shed for me. :-)

doubtful.

don't forget gatherings in QLD are restricted to 30 people or less ... probably a fraction of that in the room where press conferences are held

I'm happy he's got the job and am happier still he has taken it upon himself to give the origin job away. There is a lot of work to be done.
I hope everyone gives him the space to do what he needs to do and doesn't expect premierships within his 2 years because it's very unlikely to happen.
I don't envy the task ahead for him but at least everyone seems to be willing him success. I also hope he has better luck with regard to injury toll we have had. Ive been critical of siebold but I have to admit he had terrible luck with injury. I think we have had 6 different halves or something close to that this season.
Lastly, I hope there is no talk of anyone picking the side but Walters or being immune to being dropped. If he doesn't have complete autonomy with the make up of the side (the squad and development are different questions), then we will have learnt nothing.

No need, you have a press conference to announce something to the press. Media have been writing about it for a week.
