Is that a promise? After the finals have concluded there will be a few players changing clubs. Now that they have the salary cap and squads confirmed for this year, we should start to see some player movements.

wolfie is of the opinion that Kevvie should look to the future and name Carrigan as permanent captain next year
That’s a really good question and an argument for a vice captain to have some authority as well. Maybe one of our smarter halves or a hooker who is in the middle seeing everythingI wonder how much fatigue augments decision-making with these captain’s challenges. Patty plays big minutes at a high work rate and may not be the best guy to make those calls. Not saying he shouldn’t be captain at all, but just a wandering thought, really.
Is Seibolds analyst guy gone?
Barker might get a call back seeing Wayne didn't take him to Souffs.
He couldn’t even say they stuffed up. Intimated that Kev didn’t interview well last time so, hey not our fault things turned to puss.
Has nothing to do with following Bennett and more to do with the coaches who replace him often being fucking terrible.it may be the truth ... none of us were there.
besides, IMO, it is a good thing Kevvie didn't get the job last time ... because I want him to succeed and no coach that has followed Bennett has ever succeeded
I don’t think Macca will come back... he isn’t motivated by the money and more the playing time so if another offer came he might take itKevvie needs to bring in some old heads, leaders on the training track hopefully and I do think this is one area Macca helps out by coming back. He also needs to put up a teamsheet with no names on it and say boys, every position is open, you show you me you want to be on it, I don't care your name, your past or your standing in the game.
Kevvie's assistants also need to instill some kind of structure in both attack and defense, that is a priority from week 2 after players in different positions have been identified. The Broncos have (and always will have) guys who can score a try from nothing but that should be the icing on the cake, not the icing on a pile of a poo.
I think you could say that the players and analysists were on the wong pageHope so. Our game analysis then was very much on a Wong and a prayer.
Plus the hatchet job of his long-term deals to guys who don't deserve them.Has nothing to do with following Bennett and more to do with the coaches who replace him often being fucking terrible.

That's White, not Bennett.Plus the hatchet job of his long-term deals to guys who don't deserve them.

You might say it's bullshit but it's been confirmed from multiple sources.I am not so sure. All I am interested in is openness and transparency, which looks good under Kevvie, and something a bit difficult when Bennett was, and is concerned, especially when the media is involved, the media who Bennett uses like the tools they are.
My specific issue about Bennett and contracts (and bullshit) relates mainly to Boyd's contract, NOT that he was signed, but that he was signed, as a 30 year old above average FB with lots of (then) serious injuries, to a 4 year deal at $800K per season. About that signing, Bennett and the media was saying that he had nothing to do with it. I say bullshit. For mine, give the extremely close and personal relationship between Bennett and Boyd, it looks to me that Boyd was set up for retirement at the clubs expense given the length and value of the contract and what the club got in return. 2 years yes, but 4 years, at that amount? So for mine, the influence of coach Bennett was a serious issue.
Equally, given my understanding (correct me if I am wrong) that Shane Richardson said Bennett was to have nothing to do with recruitment at Souths, really? Roberts, media reports of TPJ and Lodge following Bennett, the Merrin bullshit in '18 ... it goes on and on. And now we have Kevvie allegedly putting the microscope on Lodge (wonder why - see above), the TPJ bullshit ... It seems to me that anything Bennett is involved with becomes clear as mud.
Anyway, moving on ... I am glad that with Kevvie, we will have openness and transparency which is refreshing after what we have been through since 2018, and the effects of that bullshit on our performances over the last 3 years.
Who was that Wong guy? I think the only thing he knows about league is he may have played it once on his XboxEven 2019 was a disaster though. Yeah we made the 8, but we had something like the lowest cut off to the top 8 in NRL history (someone can fact check this).
I can't hold Walters to the same standards I held Seibold. Seibold came in as the big dog, made a huge song and dance about all this BS he's going to do and having really strong contracts, and signed for 5 years.
Walters is coming in as the second choice guy, on exactly the contract Seibold should have signed (2 years/500k-ish), so even if it doesn't work, it's not going to cripple the club the way Seibold did.
Just so it's on the record though, anything other than a finals finish is a failure, and that goes for Walters too. Now if we miss out by 2 points it's not the end of the world as long as the trajectory looks good but a bottom 4 finish and I'd be wanting Walters gone too. That's not unrealistic, I think if we sacked Seibold at the halfway mark and went with Gentle, we'd have finished like 10-12 instead. We went from turnstyles to semi-not-shit once Gentle took over in a space of two weeks. All Gentle had to work with was himself and... Wong? I imagine Walters with his assistants are much more formidable.
