The QLD Autopsy...

Just on Chambers, I think he is decent enough without being great and unfortunately, if we had another star centre waiting in the wings it would all be good but we don't. Even Tonga is out injured so legitimately (and don't say Copley as much as I agree because he doesn't play there at club level and Gagai is a moron), who else is there?

I would hope that if jt improves and can work well with dce and we fix up this fullback and lack of punch in the forwards, we won't need to have Chambers be a superstar

Not happy with this.

We need good prop forwards. This guy makes the metres by running at the little blokes, he doesn't do the hard work. He can **** off.

Scott gained less than 100 metres on Wednesday, very unusual for him. God forbid that happens again, if Taylor is actually gaining above 150 a game, I couldn't care less if he runs at the little guys, we need those metres
If Taylor had been there on Wednesday, we may not have been stuck in our half for 40 minutes
Side note I wouldn't mind seeing Reynolds have 123 kg of coal train charging at him

Exactly!! The NSW little men will be packing themselves knowing that if they bring Taylor down, they'll be coping Thaiday next run and then GI. How can that not be worth considering?

All they would do is watch a bunch of videos on him and realize he is just about useless when you get up in his face before he has time to move.

Tigers did that, took him out of the game completely.

We don't really need him. Our backrowers were doing a pretty good job in game 1, we just need a specialist prop on the bench that can do the hard work when they come on.

McGuire?

I tend to agree....Dave has certainly gained good metres recently but almost none of those metres were gained performing a traditional forwards role. He seldom took a hit up leaving that to the rest of the pack. Now it is totally possible he is simply following the coaches instructions so the criticism may be unfair but unless he is prepared to die on the field in his very last opportunity then we can get by without him. I like APs team other than Taylor although I'd be the happiest critic in the world if Taylor played like we all suspect he can.

We could be weakening our forward pack by giving Taylor a spot.....I got to admit, were it up to me Taylor would have to totally convince me he would be ferocious and intimidating.

Might be risky but I'd like to think Taylor would play out of his skin knowing that he was dumped last time and could just as easily be dumped again
I also think we would have been a lot better in that first half constantly defending our line had we had McGuire with the relentless attitude

Those Queensland jerseys were pretty tight and a lot of the guys were looking pretty ripped. I'm a little worried about Sammy Thaiday's self esteem when he puts the jersey on.

What I want to see is a prop with some agro brought in. Based on the constant grubby tackles all night, one can only assume qld are also free to tackle like that (except for Corey Parker who apparently isn't allowed to push someone down)

Thaiday in for McQueer and a specialist prop on the bench and I'm happy. Plus the realisation that Hayne is just a man, swamp him and NSW attack dies. The amount of times he danced around with people just watching him was infuriating. You don't give a player like that room and you don't present him with a broken line.

Exactly, and sit him on his arse. Hell, it's even legal to spear tackle now apparently.
