im not debating if being a rep player makes them better than someone whos not, just that they have the most rep players. posters like Broncoman and COMPOUND FRACTURE are the ones trying to bring these unquantifiable things into it just so they dont have to admit that its true and they can say bennetts doing great with a team of nobodies, when a) hes not doing great, and b) theyre not nobodies.

they still have about 7 or so players who are currently representing QLD/NSW/AUS/NZ or have in the last 2-3 years. most teams would kill to have more than half their starting team have that experience.

we have hoffman, hodges, gillett, glenn, hannant, parker, thaiday.

gillett shouldnt have been picked for QLD, and showed why he shouldnt have been chosen in his performances. only picked cause he is a bronco. same with thaiday, wouldnt have made a rep team for years if he wasnt sam thaiday and played for the broncos.

have you been watching this year? our team is close to worthless. overrated players getting by on reputation and favouritism is the name of the day at the broncos.

half our team, sure. them + wallace is about all our rep players though iirc (and yow yeh, but he doesnt really count cause he's gonna be a completely different player if/when he comes back). newcastle have another ~10 with rep experience though, just not in the last 2-3 years unless you count city/country WHICH YOU SHOULD but you guys wont lol.

Prince and Stagg are also ex-reps, Reed is an England rep, Yow Yeh as you said is too, and he should count anyway, like you count all the Knewcastle reps who don't even crack the first team. We're getting close to a "worthless" starting team full or reps at the Broncos...

yes, and yes.

we have a seemingly crap coach, and most of our rep players are playing like crap and have been doing so for years. if QLD hadve lost a series in say 2009/2010, thaiday wouldnt have been in the team since then.

it doesnt matter if it is or isnt comparable to origin or internationals, its still a rep match. the NRL count it, so should you.

I do count it and I know it's counted as a rep footy but it's really an exhibition game promoted as a trial match and nothing besides NSW spots are up for grabs when national and state pride are on the line in Tests and Origins.

Newcastle have 22 representative players - including City/Country and the minnow nations.

Brisbane have 13 under the same count.

What does it mean? Not a lot, just an interesting factoid.
