Who does Bennett have in the centres next year? Reed and Copley with Kahu and Oates on the Wing?

People, everyone has made posts that look ridiculous with the benefit of hindsight, let's not start pointing fingers or the "I told you so" bullshit please!

I would seriously like to thank Wayne for making our team one that will actually make a difference in the finals series, rather than be cannon-fodder for some of the big boys.

I also think he might have a special treat in store for the finals as well ... something nobody saw coming.

I'd personally go with

2. Oates
3. Copley
4. Kahu
5. Maranta (or maybe Carlin Anderson)

Just to be clear I only bumped this because I saw a post that made me laugh a bit, certainly no smart arseness intended.

Reed had a few bad games this year, but overall he's been really good honestly, and he's obviously still had some shoulder issues. I'd be fine with him starting at Centre next year if he has a good off-season and pre-season without any injury hiccups, maybe drops a couple of kg's as well.

1. Boyd
2. Oates
3. Reed
4. Kahu
5. Maranta

Dale to start the season in ISC, if he has an injury free run and plays some good footy, we've got plenty of options, we can play Oates on the bench or in the back row, or we can drop Reed, depending on form.

Yeah true. I mean we had to put up with that bullshit for months and the abuse for having the stupidity to think Bennett is a good coach, but no we should just let it go because I'm sure if the situation was reversed they would do the same...

You say that like hindsight is the only reason those posts are ridiculous though? They were ridiculous then and they're even more ridiculous now.

Staff direction to leave it alone. Keep it good natured please. If you point anyone out specifically in order to rudicule you'll be reported.

1910 I heard Paul Kent carrying on about WB not getting going to clubs and getting the structures/pathways set up to ensure juniors were coming through etc. I was sure you posted something a while ago to the contrary. I was wondering if Kent is full of it and going on bout this stuff without proper research.

One of the first things he does wherever he's gone. Knights be probably went a bit quick fix to get them started.

MELBOURNE coach Craig Bellamy has taken aim at Brisbane’s Wayne Bennett, accusing the fellow NRL supercoach of double standards fuelled by Storm’s late season resurgence.

Talk of Melbourne’s so-called wrestling defensive style has been a talking point after its brilliant 20-18 win over the Roosters in the qualifying final.
Bennett made a point of talking up the “entertaining” style of play in his side’s qualifying final victory over North Queensland at the weekend, while also taking a thinly-veiled swipe at Storm.
Bellamy, who was once Bennett’s assistant at Brisbane, believes his former boss should not be on the NRL Rules Committee and accused him of changing his tune from when he was coaching the Dragons.

“I remember in 2010 when St George were criticised a lot for being a boring team and Wayne said he didn’t give a rat’s arse,” Bellamy said.
“Nor should he of and they ended up winning the comp.
“But now, because he has a team that can play what we see as exciting footy with his young halves, now he wants everyone to play his sort of footy.
“The score in that game was 16-12 and in our game it was 20-18, so there were two more tries scored, so is that exciting footy or is there some other thing such as making breaks and not scoring tries? I don’t know.”

Melbourne and Brisbane are on a collision course and will meet in the grand final if both sides win next weekend.
Bellamy said he takes the criticism of his side’s style as a compliment as he prepares Storm for its preliminary final at AAMI Park on Saturday week.
“They’ve all got their own agendas and they all sort of play them out in the press, which Wayne has been doing for years and will keep doing,” Bellamy said.
“But to me, I get a bit out of that because they must be a little concerned about us if they’re watching us and mentioning us.”

Roosters coach Trent Robinson complained of Storm slowing down the ruck after his side’s loss to Melbourne last Friday night.
Both Bennett and Robinson are members of the NRL Rules Committee, which Bellamy believes is not on.
“I don’t think coaches should be involved in that,” he said.
“If you’ve got coaches there, they’re naturally going to do what is best for their team.”
Bellamy said Robinson’s claims took away the credit his players deserved for the upset win.
“I can guarantee we haven’t changed anything all year with our defensive pattern systems or techniques,” he said.
“It is funny how it (this talk) always comes up at this time of year.”

Bennett lights fire, Bellamy adds fuel

Has Bennett actually criticised the Storm's style of play? It sounds to me like Bellamy is dirty that he isn't on that panel.

Not from what I have seen, Bennett has spoken in general about his dislike of the the wrestle but I don't recall him ever publicly naming which clubs are guilty of it, Bellamy knows his side employs it and he can't stand the style being criticised.
