Titans must win for the sake of a 'national' competition

Hey Rocky, it's a long drop if you fall of that horse.

[quote="The Rock":3874rzd7]Serious question. Why is it that if it was a Brisbane Vs Melbourne Grand Final, Sydney fans would still watch the Grand Final and make a day out of it yet if it's an all Sydney grand final between 2 teams that Queenslanders can't stand, they won't watch it or will find an excuse not to watch it. This is the reason why QLD will never be the heart of league because QLD fans only care when their teams are in involved or if it's a team other than Sydney..

Because we aren't hypocrites.

Why watch teams in the GF that you really hate, it's a waste of your time.

And maybe we QLD'ers get sick & tired of the League Commentators each year saying a Sydney team must be in the GF.

Thanks you just proved my point. Queenslanders don't support rugby league, they support QLD.

Just out of curiosity, how many non Broncos/Storm fans do you think were at ANZ Stadium in the 2006 GF?

I dunno, but it got around 80,000 and I'm pretty sure there wasn't 80,000 Broncos/Storm fans there that's for sure. icon_thumbs_u[/quote:3874rzd7]
Are you for real? [icon_ee
Absolute typical NSW'ker talk.

I love the game, besides the Broncs I go to my local club's game, support their Junior League where my son plays while also volunteering for it, and I watch as many NRL games as I can on TV. Now you tell me whether I support RL or not? [icon_wink

Fact is, I absolutely cannot stand Dragons, Manly or Easts. So much so, that I had to support the Toidans last night.

Give me a single reason why I should watch a game that will deliver a premiership for one of the teams I hate?
Do you know many people that would go out of their way to watch something that would cause them to nauseate?
I'm not even sure whether I would prefer to watch both of those teams in a GF, knowing that one of them will win, or the "2 girls one cup" video... [icon_confu

There was 79,609, which was down from other years when a Sydney team was in the GF.

2000: 94,277
2001: 90,414
2002: 80,130
2003: 81,166
2004: 82,127
2005: 82,453
2006: 79,609
2007: 81,392
2008: 80,388
2009: 82,538

So why were there less fans in 2006.

Was it because there wasn't a NSW based team in the GF.

Surely not. [icon_lol1.

I posted the 2000 & 2001 crowds, as there was a NSW team in the GF.

Give it up Rocky, there are plenty of fans in Sydney who won't watch the game if there are two teams they hate in it.

In my best Gus Gould voice.

No, no, no, no, no

They will watch all teams. They are the true league supporters. [icon_evillaugh

Why did Suncorp only get 44,000 last night? I find that rather strange, I was thinking it would be sold out. They get more at a Test match! QLD team featured in a preliminary final and they didn't sell it out.

Because there was a NSW team involved. [icon_evillaugh

And because the other team was the Titans.

Not sure which Queenslanders you are talking about Rock. These are my two most hated teams but I can't wait to watch it.

Nah, my tummy is too sensitive for that... [icon_shru

Now, I do support Coxy's precision missile strike idea! :P
Otherwise, I hope the Roosters win by 1-0, field goal from Nate Myles in the 79th minute, after send offs for Scott, Cooper, Fairy, Soward, Ryles, Carney, Pearce and both their whingeing captains!

ARGGGHHHH
Roosters V Dragons, there could not be a worse result!
Penrith, Warriors, Canberra, Tigers, all would have been bearable but those two shithead teams for the grand final!!

The only positive for me is the great Bennett winning another premiership and keeping a 100% GF record.

I am hoping for a earthquake, that swallows both teams & they are never seen again.

Um, he doesn't have a perfect GF record. He has 6 out of 7. He lost as coach of Canberra in 1987.

Jog my memory again, it's been so long I've forgotten.

Wasn't Wayne assistant coach at the Raiders under Tim Sheens?
or
The Raiders had 2 head coaches?
so
If Wayne was head coach, where the heck was Tim Sheens?

Sheens was coach of Penrith in 1987

Don Furner was co-coach with WB at the Raiders in 1987.
