Tronc Close To Signing

"Despite being unsettled, it hasn't stopped Tronc from picking up where he left off with the Cowboys, where he was squeezed out after six seasons by salary cap restrictions. After eight rounds of the ESL, the no frills 28-year-old is the No. 1 metre earner among the forwards and third overall behind Australian fullbacks Amos Roberts and Ryan McGoldrick".

Number one metre eater in the english comp this year so far..........how good is this going to be.
8.sims
9.Mcclough
10.tronc
11.teo
12.thiaday
13.parker
14.kenny
15.anderson
16.gillet
17.setu

By far its going to be top 3-4 foward pack in the comp!!!!!! Plz Plz Plz Plz God no more injuries. I hope he shows a few of the fowards up ie Kenny so he gets back to his 09 form.

WHAT A FOWARD PACK. WATCH OUT BUNNIES

With that pack should we maybe consider resting Parker at times now that Gillett can fill his role?

Why on earth would you start Sims and bench Kenny?

Tronc is a good signing.

I like Kenny but everytime I see him take a hitup, he gets dominated.

I think that's an exaggeration. Sure he does get dominated every now and again, but I think his good runs outweigh the bad.

More than likely the earlest we should expect to see him would be round 8 against the Knights, that is also when Falou, Kemp and Parker are due back. Could that be the date we turn around our season?
Nah I rekon we will see him in Round 7. When is Yow Yeh expected back?

If Kenny gets back to his 09 form then yes he does deserve a spot in the starting pack but to be honest in 2010 he hasnt even been close to his best!!! Thats why i would have him on the bench because he needs a kick up the arse to hopefully pick his form up!! Personally i think Sims is the hardest runner and makes some good metre's which is what we need at the moment. I note that Kenny is on the bench for this week so if Tronc is playing im guessing he will definately be on the bench!!!!

Kenny should be starting. He's been our hardest working forward alongside Thaiday.

I hardly think that is the reason. Sims has been below average in the QLD Cup and only got a shot because injury where as Kenny has been better than average in first grade... Makes no sense at all.

lol @ people saying that Kenny gets dominated.

Is it possible that the two situations aren't related? Just because Wakefield are chasing another player doesn't necessarily mean that Tronc isn't coming.

I was under the impression that Wakefield had already agreed to release Tronc on compassionate grounds, but his released would be delayed until the 17th.

Ok, call me dumb, but how could the Broncos swap Tronc for Geddes and Bailey when they don't play for us????

Hopefully Vossy's just having one of those days where he doesn't know whether he's Arthur or Martha.

he didnt say player swap he said a replacement...

then lets hope that they can sign either Geddes or Bailey and we can sign Tronc

yeah thats not what a dominant tackle is lol.
