Updated - Lockyer rules himself out of Manly match

He ran alright in 2008.

However he turns at the line and falls into it, or decides he is a Half and passes it. Cringe-worthy to watch!

When he runs hard and straight he actually makes good metres. Ever since his father passed away after the 2008 season, he has been just a shadow of the player he was. He has been getting better this year though.

By the way, reports are coming out of Sydney that Lockyer has been training with the team this morning in Sydney. No news of if he may be a surprise to play, but he is training

i would of thought he'd keep training anyway. just cut out the contact work to the face. keeps the team in sync. helps inspire the players around him. id say he'd be with the team 100% until they finally run out onto the field tommorrow.

Possibly, depends on what sort of training he is doing. If he is training in his usual position, then I don't know how useful that is, having a run and helping whomever replaces him is useful though

I was just warming to the idea of Lockyer not playing and then you go and start a rumour that he may be playing.

Stop it.

haha - nrl.com is now even reporting that he trained 'in an intense final session'.

the circus continues! even after he has officially ruled himself out he's still keeping the focus on him and away from the team.

Ducks and drakes everywhere.

This has the build up of a Grand Final rather than a qualifier

I barely slept last night. FFS

I was good last night, due to my flu, I'm not having any trouble sleeping at all.

But Tuesday Night was ####ed, couldn't stop thinking about the game.

My insomnia wasn't entirely game related. Stressing about other matters, plus the cumstains next door decided to have a party on a Wednesday night. I expressed my displeasure very loudly and descriptively...STFU! To their credit, they did....after torturing me with an Adele song played at loud volume first...

If we do lose I want to lose by plenty. None of this 2008 crap. I never slept for a week after that loss. Still bitter. FU Ashton Sims.

Really?? I don't want to get flogged. I don't want to lose in the dying seconds either. I'd like to be in the game for 80 mins.

Been thinking about this game non-stop without fail. It's been hard to see even the simplest of tasks through at work this week. I suspect tonight will be no different. Might pull out an old Premiership DVD to send me off to sleep. Got an early start and a 7:30am flight out of Brisbane tomorrow morning to look forward to!

I'd like to see us win just quietly.

But if we are to lose, I'd like to see us do it swinging. A flogging would be such a pathetic way to go, we're better than that.
