Updated - Lockyer rules himself out of Manly match

To be honest you could do a lot worse than adding some structure and have Sammy playing 6 down the right and Gillett down the left. Wallace free to roam. Manly do it with GStewart.

Yow Yeh<br />

What you didn't like my idea .... SUPER SAMMY, all hair and flair baby, Booyah :)

Wow! I wonder if Griffin will take this advice?

This is 2009 history repeating all over again.

Play a friggin halfback in the halves to at least give us a genuine second option in attack. Norman goes missing/is not mature enough in the clutch (see Raiders game this year for example) and this game will be a one pointer.

Griffin has proved to make outstanding decisions so far this year, so I hope he continues the trend.

I think Coxy has the right gameplan. The problem is unless our forwards are right over the top of Manly (which they did manage to do and should be fired up to do), our kicking game will be vital and with only 1.5 options (with Gillett I doubt being capable of providing any real option) we could be handing the ball over the Manly inside our own half all night.
It's quite different actually. We carry a half back in our bench with plenty of first grade experience. It wouldn't surprise me if Hunt stays on the field once he has replaced Macca.
As Coxy said, chances are Macca will come back to the hooker position for a forward, Hunt will move to the halves and the bench rotation will be exclusively forwards.

is it just me or does anyone else feel as though without him we are so much better in defence,
he is such a liability and there has been so many tries scored against us because of him this year

Dude, did you just come out of a time machine from 2005?

Maybe he was reminded of the statue attempt Lockyer put on Mateo.

Seriously guys WTF was that?

He didn't want to break his cheekbone :-) (they talk in his book about him seeing things before they happen...)

Just because that's the answer next season doesn't mean it's the answer now. This isn't a situation where we can throw someone like Norman in and hope that within 5-6 weeks he shows us that he has what we need in the 6 jersey. We have a situation where our team is on a roll and it's in our best interests to cause as least disruption as possible.

Gillett to 5/8th makes sense in that regard. He has tremendous ability to break the line (interested to see how Beale goes running off him), had plenty of football smarts and a great defender.

Initially I thought Hook had developed a bit of Ivanitis but the more I think about it the more confident I am about Gillett at 5/8th.

Growing on me too. But I'm bias. Gillett is a machine.

With Locky now out of the game, I reckon it gives the younger boys even more reason and motivation to win for him and give him a chance to play just 1 more game.

Also, it just adds a twist to the plot of the movie that will be commissioned after we take out the premiership. I wonder who will play Locky in the starring role???

Jason Statham, who else?

Jason Statham, who else?

So the script would be..
Born.
Not much happened for 17 years.
Became a good footy player.
Not much happed for 10 years.
Possibly partied too much.
Bruno Cullen is evil.
Wayne Bennet get p**ed off and leaves
Not much happened for 3 years.
Break every record in history.
Break cheek bone in second last game.
Come back in grand final and win.

Retire at 34. The credit montage at the end of the movie:

Justin Hodges never played again.
Andrew Griffin went on to coach the Broncos to 3 more premierships.
Darren Lockyer retired.
Corey Parker went grey.
The NRL went broke 10 years later and no one ever matched Lockyer's records.

THE END

Spoilers dude spoilers geez. Not all of us have seen it yet!

Was to ruin a possible sequel man :(
