OK, the last Grand Slam of the year. So can anyone beat Nadal??? IMO the hard court is where he is at his most vulnerable and Federer and Djokovic love the surface. Outside of those 3, who can win? Anyone? Don't think so.

I'm going to put my money on Federer to bounce back and prove that he is not done with yet.

In the women's I'll take the Olympic champion Dementieva.

My money is on Safin and Ernest Gulbis (Vaidisova in the women's!). Federer is finished for mine. Still the most talented player but he is so mentally weak compared to Nadal.

Wow, those are some pretty wild picks right there. I like both of those guys but I would want some very very healthy odds to get on Marat and Gulbis just does not have the game right now.

My pick is Federer and my roughie is Nalbandian. David is in shape and enjoys this surface. Obviously Nadal has a good shot also. I don't think Djokovic's form right now is good enough to win the necessary matches against top level competition.

Don't much care about winners, only odds. Gulbis was 220, Safin 300, which means the value is there, so I don't much care about anything else. Apparently Djokovic got injured today so will be itneresting to see how he pulls up.

Hmmmm well obviously the odds of the two above winning are much better than that of South Sydney winning the minor premiership, but it's all about expenditure IMO. If you put $1,000 on a 300-1 shot, then you're a fool unless you've got that sort of cash to give away.

But quite a few of the $3 multis that I put on (one a week, or sometimes not at all) are at odds longer than 300-1! (and yes, before anyone asks, I've landed three of them at these odds over the past three years).
