I'd be thinking if a swap was to happen it would be for TMM. Not sure how I feel about that though if true...he's a huge reason why we are where we are right now and deserves a shot at finals footy.

I dont see them swapping for TMM really as he is off contract anyway at the end of the year. I think Tesi long term is probably a more sensible option for them to try to develop. I wouldnt be against the idea with TMM though.

Walsh benched for the Warriors this week, I'd be asking some questions for a possible early release

Sweet, don't have to endure the crap in the cross-forum thread where Bronco fans pick apart Walsh's game.

he's still playing

That's unfortunate then.

Fans were going on about his goal life defense, anyone who watched that game would know that goal line was under assault for a very long time.

You don't enjoy discussion...about a key signing...on a forum in an appropriate thread...designed for discussion?

It's unreasonable criticism, if you watch the game you will see he makes several big defensive plays but people focus on the one he didn't make, or the ball he threw to his teammate that got dropped by the teammate. The defensive efforts aside, that Warriors team barely had any ball for the first 25 minutes of the game, any fullback in the NRL is going to come up short when being asked to defend for that long.

He's not going to save every try, neither is Tesi or anyone else we throw back there, it's never going to happen.

I keep coming back to Tesi because there's no better example, he hasn't done many things wrong since he has come back from injury but people carry on like he did what Isaako did against the Dragons when he gifted them a try by not kicking it dead.

Fans can critique whoever they want but I see a lot of it as unreasonable to backup an early opinion. Such as McHunt going on about Selwyn not being ready for Origin and using the fact he knocked out by his teammates hip to further justify that view.

Kent just said the Storm has had a "sneaky go" at getting Walsh for the remainder of the season.

Warriors rejected them
If he wasn't going to come to us the storm are the next best thing. Specialist fullback coaching from Slater for a few months and under Bellamy, would of been great for us.

If Walsh comes early does he walk into the team? I feel a bit weird about it tbh. Happy for him to come next season and get flogged over the preseason but to come in mid year after walking out, straight from a losing team to a top 5 team doesn’t seem fair, even as a critic of Tesi I think it doesn’t seem fair to him either.

I personally don’t want Walsh yet. We are coming 5th and him coming this year with deficiencies that can’t be fixed this year is not what we desperately need. Attention needs to be on the footy not the player movements. I whole heartedly believe all big mid-season moves have half the impact they would post season and with a pre season under their belt. It’s a clean slate new opportunity, new coaching, new brand of football, new environment and accompany that with the expectation and hype to motivate them to be at their best having him next year will be way better than having a semi incompetent Walsh low on confidence and recently playing around a group of players who couldn’t tell you what their best spine looks like cause it changes every week with shit performances.
