Scott won't hang around Newy. Either back to the dragqueens or follow WB, imo.

Look, I don't like Scott either...but the Broncos never looked like winning premiership number 1, until we bought Gilly... someone you just don't want to run at, and eats cement for breakfast. Sometimes you have to buy in some starch. All this talk on the forums about what our backline will be, neglects that this Brisbane team is currently soft as featherdusters in a lot of the forwards.

I swear I will never be on his bandwagon. Loyalty is number 1 in my book. I guess I have more morals then others. Id rather lose and be proud then win and be a hypocritical money taking tool And where the fk else can Hoffman go when Gee and other Muppets buy Barba? Not Hooks fault. I stand by what I said. #FuckWayne #Broncos4Life

Lets not forget something here, we finished 12TH LAST YEAR. NOT GOOD ENOUGH IMO.
Newcastle finished 8th in 2011 under their old coach.

They finished 12th in 2012 under bennett. they scraped into the finals last year by getting very very very lucky, winning only 50% of their matches. They are currently sitting 14th, equal second last.

Is that any better than us coming 12th once?

I also find the way Bennett went about this as just utterly disgraceful. Going straight to Murdoch and getting them to fire Griffin just days after saying he wouldn't coach a team that has a coach under contract is just despicable.

so many questions and interesting plots to come! josh McGuire? Darius Boyd? how will hunt and barba go under Bennett? josh Hoffman? mind is spinning

I agree but if we go down that rd we need to say Barba was a mistake. Kept Hoffman at FB and even kept Norman for our 6. I think that stuff came from Gee and above though. Milford is an error as well. So was Prince.

HUH? That kind of delusion is beyond my comprehension. Could you please explain how signing one of the if not the hottest prospects in league atm is a error?

To be honest, our squad is a lot better. Outside of Mullen and maybe Gagai and Boyd, who else from Newcastle would make our side?

And McAnus and Sims too, I guess.

C'mon mate.........be happy for the club, give it a chance. On the bright side, if he fails you can bask in the sunshine of a massive told you so. Get together with Kaz and party hard about how correct you were......we should have listened to you, all that jazz etc etc..then you'll be happy.

I just get the feeling (hope?) Bennett will be able to get the best out of Barba much like he did with Soward.

I'll be the first to admit if i'm wrong and happily take all of the "told ya so's" with a big smile on my face, if:

1. Bennett turns us into a well-drilled, consistent premiership threat
2. doesn't bring the likes of Mason, Beau Scott or even Boyd to the club
3. When he retires in 3 years, doesn't leave the club in a hole.

Knights and NSW fans talk up Mullen like he's the next Joey when he's really just another Wallace.

Hunt is ten times the player those nuffies are.

So if he brings Boyd and he plays on the wing and we win a premiership, you won't accept our "I told you so's". That seems kinda ridiculous.

Oh ho ho ho, do I get to have my say?

Ahem, no matter what happened today, nobody would have been satisfied and this is quite frankly a fact. Coach Anthony was never going to be employed for 2015 or beyond. If we had done nothing, than the ship for recruiting Wayne would have already sailed and everybody would have complained about not signing him this very instant. What leaves me unsatisfied is that we relinquished Anthony of his duties after a courageous win, we did not give him the rest of the season to prove himself. While we can't hold a big secret(like signing Wayne) for that long, I still believe it would have been for the best to leave it until the season was over.
