It would be even more amusing if that happened because you'd be like 1) where has that been all season and 2) if you had of played like that prior to now, maybe you'd still have him as coach.

If Broncos win the comp this year Anthony Griffin should never coach in the NRL again.

Morals don't mean shit in business, generally the ones with the loosest are the most successful.

Hence why I said that why I am not successful

I couldn't stab someone in the back/to gain an advantage.

And no I am not a pushover, I would fight for my rights, just wouldn't push someone under the bus to gain the advantage. (well I might if it was my older sister, nephew or niece.)

Yes I wanted him gone, but not in the manner Bennett managed it.

I would have preferred it to happen in the open, not the cloak & dagger crap Bennett went on with by ringing Lachlan Murdoch etc.

It's probably why I am not successful in life, because I rate integrity & morals highly, something that Bennett has lost over the years.

But we don't even know if thats the way it happened. The same bullshit reporter said in the same article.

Paul White and bennett dont get along: Paul white just stared down a reporter and asked him does he have any idea how long they known each other, and said that was rubbish.

Paul White will quit and can't work with Bennett: what just shot that down to

That Ben Ikin will be CEO: WHite just confirmed in the presser he isn't going anywhere.

White also said that he spent most of yesterday with Griffin informing him of the decision, so he did well to spend the day with him seeing masters will have you believe the shady deals were done last yesterday.

yeah, **** the premierships and decades of success ect, the only record that matters is the last two years ...

So much this.

I actually quite liked Hook and don't think he deserved to get shafted like this.

My opinion of Bennett has dropped severely.

Got a bloke sacked so he can get a fat pay cheque and move closer to home.

Bit of a dog act.

Allegedly

I really hope Ikin stays away from the Broncos though, especially the CEO role. He seems Brad Fittler level of retarded.
I think Fittler would be more fun on a night out though.

Premierships and decades of success are fantastic for a resume but they mean **** all in 2015 if you have lost touch with the modern game. All he will do is tarnish his win loss ratio from here on in

Yeah, I'm not posting that to make a personal point, just came across it.

Shows where Wayne is coming from. The worst phase of his coaching career, hopefully he can turn it around up here.

A very bittersweet moment.

I feel for Anthony Griffin. He'll be remembered as a failure at the Broncos, just another factor in the post-Lockyer years who failed to get the most out of his team. A mere Bennett knock off if you will. Under Hook, the Broncos very rarely surrendered, they fought to the bitter end even when the execution was off. Hook never lied, the effort more often than not was always there but unfortunately the team lacked guidance and confidence. As beneficial as Hook had been to a lot of these players careers at both the Dolphins and at the Broncos NYC side where I believe his legacy should be remembered as he was very very good at those levels.

At least as long as the Price is right.
I concur with these sentiments. The players obviously bonded with him well , including Locky , but at the end of the day he did bring the most boring style of football I have seen the Broncs play. Poor recruitrment which has left us with an undersized pack and without a recognized 5/8 and a real lack of pace in the back line are crucial failures from the Griffen years. Is that all his fault? Probably not. On the positive side I have seen the boys really dig deep and win some really hard fought games under the Hooks reign. It's a pity these decisions have to be made mid season , especially when the team can only improve from here with key positional changes ( Barba to 5/8 Hoff to FB Reed to left right out). I am certainly not writing them off to finish top 4 to 6 finish. If Hook can get the team there , mayby he could get a coaching job elsewhere. I wish him well.

Ikin's on the Cowboys' board and has major media commitments. I can't see him becoming CEO.

If it meant getting ikin off tv id love for him to become broncos CEO. The guy loves his own voice more than gould, and thinks hes the smartest guy around. Hes the worst commentator on tv

Which would you pick.

1. CEO of the Broncos

2. Sitting next to Paul Kent every Wednesday Night & being on the Cowboys board.

It's not a fucking hard choice.

2. Doing **** all and getting to listen to my favourite voice while on a show with Paul Kent, and getting paid **** loads to do it

Yeah I think he would pick 2.

Not that the offer is even there for him

Decades of success are great and no one is arguing that he was a great coach for us ... ONCE ... but living in the past is no way to safeguard the future.

The board would have (or should have) expected that at some stage they would have had to sack Griffin this year ... so why the hell didn't the source the right coach to take us into the future ... not stall the club's progress forward for another 3 years minimum (could be much longer).
