The Courier-Mail can reveal Pangai Jr is on South Sydney’s hit-list of potential 2020 signings

That's not really that big of a reveal considering TPJ has been on every clubs hit list for 12 months

Agree, that is the heading. The story is essentially about his ability to attract players. His pulling power. No question about that but whatever KPI's the Broncos looked at the downside of those overruled that ability. Dare say that may have been to do with his decision making togeather with his use of available resources. Whatever, the southern media and Rabbits are dwelling on the positives obviously to appease their supporters and sponsors for losing out on the coach they wanted to keep. Just watch when Seibold is announced head coach of the Broncos, the negatives will be bouncing off the ceiling.

When you think about it, there is quite a bizarre possibility that Broncos and Rabbits could come to an arrangement to swap coaches for 2019 with the agreement being that Brisbane continue to pay Wayne's contract while he coaches Souths and the Rabbits continue to pay Seibolds contract while he coaches the Broncos.

Sick of hearing all this Wayne and Souffs BS..
Let Wayne go, let TPJ follow if he is that desperate, Lodge also if he wants to quickly forget what this club has done for him.

Cya's..

P.S thanks for signing Boyd on a 3yr extension when even he has said his career is almost done. Probably another reason why the board wanted Wayne out.

Yes, his fact finding mission in the UK might have been a job interview.

So... yes he does officially have it? Could you please provide me the link where it's confirmed by Brisbane?

It seems Bennett held back TPJ this year by putting him at prop and not letting him offload and ball play like he can. The attacking play Seibold seemed to like may persuade TPJ as well by letting him off the leash at lock.

do you realise that he actually finished the season with the second most offloads in our team with 29 (behind Milford).

what hampered him more was his hamstring injuries and the fact that he was only limited to about 30 mins of game time for the second half of the season.

besides i'm pretty sure i've seen you list him as a prop in one of your numerous team lists

I did list him as prop in a few on my possible team list due to the fact Bennett leaving Mcguire there and not moving him back to prop.

While I do agree with you, AS doesn't officially have the job yet does he?
When saying 'yes' I was agreeing with you he doesn’t officially have it.
Not 'yes' he does. Sorry for confusion.

$$ will be the deciding factor if TPJ will stay or go.
I tend to disagree with this.

While the almighty $$$$$ will certainly factor into things, i can't really see any other club being able to offer TPJ more than we can, especially when you factor in the TPA's we can offer him.

If Seibold can mollycoddle him, and the others, like Wayne has ... then i think he will stay.

He has stated before that he rates our club above any coach, including Bennett.

What crazy circus has it been all year round with Broncos board & Wayne. The fuckheads in the media kept on generating any kind of garbage just to get some clicks for their rubbish.

Has Wayne lost it/ has the board messed up big time in not extending Wayne beyond 2019/ did the board have a motive to kick out Wayne at the earliest is something we might never know except for some nonsense rumors going around.

Enough with the crap and bashing of Broncos all year around. Now that the great coach has decided to move on, I strongly hope that he stays on for 2019 and we smash everyone we play against in 2019 and win the damm thing. What a way to send off the great coach the Broncos have privilege to be coached for such a long time?

The masterstroke from Wayne of all this nonsense for mine is -- the great man showing his smartness and aura in letting the world know that he has signed with Souths from 2020 on wards before the self inflicted Broncos board decided on the coach from 2020.

It's time for the boys to stop talking loud ( as to who has it to coach Broncos/ their loyalty to Broncos blah blah) but start playing damm good footy and send out the great man in grand style.

I take back my comment made few days ago. Since we got flogged out in the finals series (very furious and frustrated the way turned up for that game), I hardly had any attention as to what was going in Rugby League world hence, my comment.

I must also admit here that my liking & respect of Wayne Bennett has over shadowed the actual facts and I was kind of blind folded. In saying that, I still respect & like Wayne however, that respect and liking will STOP if Wayne's intentions is to settle the score with Broncos board with some personal ego.

If Wayne like the club so much so, given the age he's in, he should have the big heart & dignity to let go off these silly things (his interests are utmost important) and walk away from the game or move to another club without any nonsense. Not even the great coach is bigger than the club. The club always stands taller than any individual. If the players intend to follow Wayne to another club, they are most welcome to do so. In my view - we don't need any individuals who only like to play for a coach instead of the club. After all, it's the club who employs them and they should be loyal to the club.

Now, does the coach switch happen in 2019 or in 2020? As for me - it's better to happen right away and be done with it. I personally do not want the nonsense around my beloved club to be dragged any further.

Hahahhahahah. Oh dear.

What if it Bennett & Seibold were in cahoots all along, Seibold wanted to take a step back for a few years and be an assistant to Wayne, the only way they could make that work was this elaborate scheme to get Bennett to the Rabbitohs by making the Rabbitohs board think that Seibold wanted out and to make the Broncos board think that Seibold wanted in.

I guess, worst case scenario, we still have Bennett for 2019.

But if we somehow **** up getting Seibold, we'll not only be the laughing stock of the NRL, but deserve to be.
