What Do You Want To See?

I'm a massive fan of the mantra "defense wins championships". Get that urgency in defense back, just like early 2011, the wins will then come.

Defence doesn't mean much if you can't score points when they're needed, yes we might be able to score through broken play and off the back off penalties but we are rubbish in the opposition 20.

i want to see a cleanout in the playing roster, and big pay cuts for those that remain that arent even remotely worth what theyre being paid.

players like hodges/thaiday/wallace are being paid well over what theyre worth. realistic worths (thaiday should be on half what hes getting, same for hannant/hodges), cut the fat (stagg, wallace, etc), and recruit some players! throw the chequebook at Folau again, throw it at Hopoate. get us some players who arent just run of the mill average jobbers who every team needs 1-2 of yet the broncos always seem to have 10.

with our roster, if we're anywhere near the salary cap then whoever negotiates deals needs to be the first one fired.

Hold up.. just cause you have never heard of them doesn't automatically mean they are shieet.
If they killed it in QLD Cup then they deserve a chance if there is spot up for grab in that position.
In which case Bond does deserve a go.
As for Kahu he was a star at Keebra Park but obviously injuries has held him back. He needs time in QLD Cup but I'm sure once he gets his confidence back, he'll play some good footy for the Broncos.

You're complaining that the roster is shieet and want to buy players but you're not willing to give players like Bond and Kahu a go even though they are obviously talented. But you rather play Norman at fullback for the rest of season until we buy a fullback? Talk about a waste of a season.

Mate, if Norman was hit by a bus and broke his leg tomorrow, I would be cheering. He's just another junior that was talked up on here, simply to be one of the worst players in the team.

I'm 1 trillion percent with AP and Nashy on this one. If I sit through one more year seeing reports like "Player X signs with Parramatta" and "Player Y signs with the Raiders" and see NOTHING about who the Broncos have signed then my interest in this club will dwindle even more than it is already threatening to do which is something I never thought I would say.

Couldn't agree more. This year I feel like most teams have gotten better because of their signings while we have been weakened.

i want to see the team show some fighting spirit. i dont care if we lose games but the way we roll over and dont even threaten is pathetic. this comes from leadership and thaiday is not providing anything of inspiration.

I don't think we rolled over or gave up I just think we played like shit

Norman has always been shieet though. I see more potential in Bond and Kahu.

Thats the thing that disappoints me the most, you look back at the Baby Broncos side against the Wests Tigers back in 2003, packed full of debut players, fringe players and the odd first grader yet they gave everything they had and will go down as one of the proudest moments for the club, I look at the side that came out of the 2nd half against the Eagles and all I see is a side thats lazy, not wanting to be there and when opportunities presented themselves they couldn't be bothered to go hard for them and whats their excuse? I can stand losing when the side has given its all but we just let it slip, like we have done for far too long.

I'm at the stage where I don't care if you're a fuckwit who's late to and/or drunk at training, I just want to win games...

The worst thing Norman ever did was have a blinder of a game in his first game. It's like everyone at the club is waiting for him to repeat that game, when maybe he just fluked it.

Sometimes all the planets align and even shit footy players can manage something exceptional that they are never going to be able to do again. Surely Andrew Gee should realise this. I mean he kicked a 40/20 once.

so gagais surely in the QLD team for origin this year. hes playing unreal, carried on from 2012 without missing a beat. and to think he rarely even got a look in for a match with the broncos. tsk tsk.

Yeah, Gagai straight for Hodges in the QLD side.

If I remember correctly it was a blinder of a first half, then he let in about 3 tries and the Cowboys nearly won. Since then he hasn't necessarily done anything good, he has just gone extended periods of time without fucking up and being ok at his job.
