Why will it lead to his downfall? There are plenty who want to believe him, so they lap it up. It all equals $$$, so long as their audience hears what they want to hear. The same reason Buzz has the top gig at the DT despite being the dumbest and most biased.

It's funny, the broncos are 1 & 1, having just beating one of the competition's favourites. They finished 3rd last year, 5th the year before. All this, and the media clowns think Bennet's job is on the line.
From what I gather, this is based:
Signing a forward available to sign because it's not in the game's interest.
Not signing a champion halfback.
Having too small a pack to compete.
In one game they have put two of those to the sword, beating the best pack in the game in a team with a future immortal half.
One swallow does not make a summer, and the broncos have a long road ahead, but an impartial observer might think there was an agenda against the team, the coach, and anyone associated with it.
As for lodge, where are the calls for greenburg's sacking? Why must Wayne Bennet be accountable for mistakes made under two other coaches? Why have not the ethics of these clubs, coaches and officials come under scrutiny? And lastly, who seriously believes lodge is the only one this conversation should be about, regardless of where you stand?
Bennet might wish for the fortress mentality. If so he now has it in spades. One thing I know for sure the day broncos sack Bennet for getting angry at the media, pigs will fly to the moon and Ill find another team to support.

Buzz is living proof that you can live far past your expiry date. He's fallen on his sword how many times? I reckon he's of the age where he has that much dirt on the people above him that moving him on would be detrimental to their careers. I don't think Kent is that bright.

I stand by what I said after the first game. There is something off in our club. There are multiple issues that should be urgently addressed. Three out of four of our performances have been pathetic.
