What is happening at the Broncos?

Well you only want me to stay at home and watch it on TV because you're annoyed right? So it works both ways. I actually don't care, I'm there to do my thing, you're there to do yours.

Most of the people I see not getting involved tend to be those who simply have no idea what is going on, who is playing, or is that one Souths guy who is at every NRL match.

People can express their passion for the Broncos in far more ways than simply going mental at the footy, it doesn't make them any less of a supporter.

Come on mate, I have a headache and I'm trying to quietly watch the game surrounded by 40,000 other people. Think of me first please.

No doubt we have dead wood to cut, but we can't throw the baby out with the bath water. Unfortunately I think this is just going to be one of those seasons where we start a rebuilding phase which includes identifying the big changes we need to make for the future. But lets give it a few more rounds before we start wielding the axe.

Lol so many bedwetters on here. The thing we need most is to fix our basics, that is what Wayne does best.
Sure we have an issue with Boyd but doing the little things really well will have us back on track and quickly

A team to succeed under bennetts plan has to buy into it 100%. They have to be boring as **** and love the grind. Like the premiership winning dragons side and our 2015 side loved the boring stuff. This current squad may not have the patience or discipline for it

Quite possibly, but if the forwards do their job really well then the talent will have room to shine.

Um 92 ,93.....97,98.....2000 can't comment on 06

I think for the broncos to turn things around they need to just fix very small things. The problem at the moment is the commitment to a plan. We go in trying to run rings around our opponents in up-tempo play, then wear ourselves out defending.
We need to minimize the defence early on against teams with good kicking games. The problem isn't so much our ability to defend the line, but our ability to diffuse, being put on the back foot.
Our kicking game and lack of go forward has been leading to a vicious game of catch 22, where we get trapped early for multiple sets, our forwards then cough it up running it tired or without a pass option (easy to put on a big hit and dislodge), then we go through it all again. Some of the those possession stats early in our games are horrible.
A plan has to be made to one way or another get the ball into our opponents defensive 20 metres. I think thats why we were kicking early against the titans. It's just that our kicking game sucks (the idea being to trap our opponents with a good kick and chase, changing momentum).
One way or another, it keeps coming back to possession and general play kicks. We hold onto it early, we look like a million bucks, our forwards grow a foot and put on 20 kg of muscle, our backs are the harlem globe trotters of league. We drop it, thaiday's dieting on maccas and our backs are looking at butterflies wondering why they gave up an afternoon of golf for some tackling.
Since it's impossible to guarantee holding onto a football, we need a plan that gives the kick THE PRIORITY for the end of set. We should not make 1 hit up or 1 backline move that leads to our kickers having poor position beyond our opponents 20 metres. In fact I suggest that should be the prime motivation of our hit ups, not metres or line breaks.
It's great seeing a break in our own 20, even better seeing a big forwards bending the line and putting us on the front foot, but we simply don't have the skill or poise to go away from a set that sets up the kicker to take the risk and have kodi kicking out on the full or milford feeding a ball down the fullbacks throat. We just cant keep doing what we have been.

Cant comment on European stadiums but it was fucking wild in Brazil. Lots of fun. Lots of chanting, flares, singing, dancing. It was honestly like a carnival in the stands.
When I read this I can’t help but think back to the story about the referee that stabbed a player in the chest and was then stoned to death and beheaded with his head put on a stake in the middle of the field.
Sounds unbelievable, but it’s sadly true and incredibly messed up.

Lack of a fullback is hurting us more than misfiring halves. Mind you, even the injured players on the bench looked frustrated with that inept performance on Sunday

Put TPJ at fullback and I reckon he could still deliver more for us there for 20 minutes than Boyd could in 80.

The more i think about it, the clearer the solution becomes. We need a number 7, desperately. We also need a change of captain, to one that is in the line and motivates and has personality the team can feed off.

1)If we are directed and managed, the forwards will have running direction, the attack will be organised, the sets will be organised and the game can be controlled. This will solve 90% of our problems.

2)A captain that is in the line will motivate the team, leads from the front with hits from marker or such in defence. Player moral/motivation/attitude looks flat and a good captain will lift this in a game.

Solve these and we are comp contenders.

I’m starting to wonder if there is some sort of de-link between the halves and Macca. For me, the hooker is the one that should be organising the forwards and steering the team to a position that the halves have nominated freeing them up to organise the backs.

It appears the coaches are sorting themselves out so hopefully the team follows suit.
As an aside, be at Lang Park when the Warriors play - their supporters know how to party.

Hands down the best opposition supporter group.

The Bro's do get stuck in and make that area a sea of black. The Roosters supporter with the slow clap after every.....single....run can get fucked though.

Inglis and Boyd are both shadows of thier glory day for QLD, and when they were on fire Inglis was reasonable for most of Boyd's try's because he would draw several defenders before passing it to Boyd, so I wouldn't read into his record of most try's for QLD to much. The loyalty card will bite them in the ass the same way it continues to bite the Broncos in the ass.
But your entitled to your opinion just like I am to mine. We will just have to wait and see I what Walters dose I guess. Hopefully there is some direction for the future this year
What's a 'Walters dose' ? Is it measured in milligrams or what ?
