What is happening at the Broncos?

Absolutely, but how long has it been happening at Suncorp? Why do opposition chants drown ours out? It's hardly a home game if we can't boo the ref and get the home town penalties every other club gets.
Have you been been to a Broncos v Cows game?

Like in almost any other stadium outside of Australia, there should be areas for both types of people.

At Suncorp, that is strongly discouraged, and results in the piss-poor atmosphere we see most of the time, except for the away bay, where supporters are generally the rowdier type.

This.

Having been to many a briefing there before games, both Suncorp (and Gabba for that matter) management have been heavily bitten by the nanny state bug and strongly discourage ‘rowdy’ behaviour because it isn’t ‘family friendly.’ Apparently the only way they can make money is for families to turn up, in their estimation of things.

Consequently the crowd sucks and the atmosphere is terrible. But hey, at least someone is thinking of the children...

I can't comment on outside of Aus, but it was no different when we played out of ANZ. I don't reckon it's Suncorp, I mean, it's allowed for Origin, so it must be the team.

What's security like over there compared to the guys who look one step below bouncers that looks after the place when the Broncos are there?
Security guys don't look too different anywhere, but in Europe there is clear separation of supporter groups, up to and including complete segregation when it comes to the big rivalries, because things do get heated, even outside of the stupid idiots (hooligans) who take it too far.

The culture is different, and the clubs promote something I rarely see in Australian stadium stands (Origin is almost the exception), which I would probably call... outlandish passion.
They reserve areas (mostly behind the goals) for the supporter groups to get creative, who in turn reward their team with continuous loud encouragement.
This is an example of my "other team" in what would compare to a Broncos - Cowboys blockbuster (note the opposition's supporters tucked away in the top left corner, well away from the field).
After the initial choreography and the club hymn, it pretty much goes on like that for 2 hours on the two stands behind the goals (don't expect to be able to watch anything sitting down there), but the rest of the stadium, while still very vocal, is less rowdy...

Opposition players may like playing at the Dragon Stadium, but they definitely rarely enjoy it!

They do read a lot. I know for a fact we have players checking this place out.

Have you ever seen Broncos Mean Tweets? They did a couple back a few years ago.
Ive actually seen them on this site all having a chuckle, pretty funny actually.

We need to bring the mushroom out of retirement to get the crowd going, he was the best at it.
I cringe every time the announcer comes on, "cmon Broncos fans, let hear some noise"
I have a few oldies around me and they are pretty vocal, always good for a laugh too.

The more i think about it, the clearer the solution becomes. We need a number 7, desperately. We also need a change of captain, to one that is in the line and motivates and has personality the team can feed off.

1)If we are directed and managed, the forwards will have running direction, the attack will be organised, the sets will be organised and the game can be controlled. This will solve 90% of our problems.

2)A captain that is in the line will motivate the team, leads from the front with hits from marker or such in defence. Player moral/motivation/attitude looks flat and a good captain will lift this in a game.

Solve these and we are comp contenders.

Tell the forwards which way to run? Forward!

True enough.......Darius has the personality of a wet fart

and that's exactly how the team is playing.

He wouldn't inspire me to any great heights of anything.

Lol so many bedwetters on here. The thing we need most is to fix our basics, that is what Wayne does best.
Sure we have an issue with Boyd but doing the little things really well will have us back on track and quickly
