Where does Benji Marshall fit in?

Even from the start I have liked the idea of having benji come to the club especially at cut prices. So what is everyone's deal he is a great signing.

Well go support another team then

You won't be missed
Because I despise the signing of one player I should go support another team?

I know what I would like to tell you to do with that piece of advice but I fear it would break a rule or two.

Seriously?

It would seem the bucket of diarrhoea would be the easier option to me. Pinch your nose and scull, much easier than chewing solids.

You make a good point Sir.

You need to be careful what you post

Had you said something along the lines of, "I hate this signing, what the heck is Bennett thinking signing this has been?" then people would understand what you apparently meant, and possibly entered into a good discussion

But you wrote that you would rather eat a bucket of turds than watch Benji play for the Broncos

Any sane and rational person would in fact not eat a bucket of turds, and so it is a natural consequence of your statement (assuming you are sane) for readers to assume you won't be supporting a Bronco side containing Benji

Rather than lose you to the code completely, I merely suggested you support another team, and noted that you would not be missed

You can word your posts however you choose, as I will mine. So I suggest you remove your principals cap and stop trying dictate how a person should portray their message.

If you disagree with what I say, or how I say it, I could care less, so do not bother trying to school me on how to say something the way that you would prefer to hear it because it is not going to happen.

From now on I suggest you avoid reading my posts as obviously they get under your skin.

Have a good day.

Couldn't :P

Also for those asking about the announcement for it, I don't think there will be one. But there's a picture of him in Broncos training gear on the Broncos Instagram page now.

The link posted above was a 3 minute video of him in a Broncos training kit talking about signing with the Broncos lol, I don't think we need an announcement anymore :P

Can't see how that's bad

May your day also be of the positive variety :)

Can't wait to see him out on the field for us - I reckon he'll make a gun centre.

Defence will be a concern, but I feel like whomever is playing outside him will get a lot of opportunities.

With out gauging pre season form etc. I would assume he would play off the bench instead of Nic. Feel for Nic but I would be happy with that.

Marshall defending alongside either half is a recipe for disaster.

I struggle to see the value in this signing. Marshall is too talented to spend his time playing in the Intrust Super Cup, Bennett will try to make room and it's difficult to envision at 32 that Benji will be able to adjust in a new role.

It's Scott Prince 2013 all over again.

I wouldn't be starting him in the centres, the defence would be a major issue. He should be the bench utility and injury / origin cover for the halves. Give Nikorima 12 months in ISC playing 80 minutes per game at Hooker.

Where would you play Benji when he comes on? You wouldn't think he'd play in the middle, right? His defence would be a massive concern. Play him at Centre and push someone else into the middle? Then you create positional headaches that aren't needed. What are your thoughts?

It's definitely a tough one, Pete. It's hard to see what position he plays where the positives outweigh the negatives. I can see a role for him perhaps mentoring, or at least offering advice to the younger guys, and probably in particular Hunt and Milford, but we could've signed him on as a consultant to do that.
