Now that the IC has been finalised, should expansion be on the agenda?

They should expand the number of markets they are in, but not the number of teams in the competition.

Personally, i think that they should get a team in Perth, be it relocation or creating a new team. should they create a new team they should only create one. i know that it has been talked about starting 2 new teams to eliminate the need for byes. but IMO byes are not a bad thing, especially in a sport as physically demanding as rugby league.

I think that any expansion should be in a non-traditional league area, especially if they want league to be a truely national sport, like the AFL

Expansion just won't happen until the tough decisions can be made. I hope the new IC can make the tough decisions.

Perth.

I think Darwin needs a look in for funding, and support for an inclusion up there.

I really think the NRL should be looking into playing a few games up there ever year.

Hopefully not in Brisbane. At the same time get rid of the Titans. Broncos controlling all of SE QLD is how it should be.

Perth and the NSW central coast should be addmited next. The only stumbling block I can see with Perth is the time difference but other than that give Perth a team. Also Brisbane 2 would be a failure remember the SQL Crushers.

Not sure if you're serious or not, and I hate the Titans as much as anyone, but if the Titans get a decent CEO they could be successful (in terms of a club being run anyway). Definately need a team on the Gold Coast that's not run by a ####wit.

theres not all that much difference in time between NZ and Perth, and NZ have a team. besides with a perth team in the comp, whoever gets the tv rights could then promote a LIVE friday night double header, with both games played live, rather than the usual delayed second game.

Expansion depends on the tv deal, if while negotiating the tv deal we are looking for more money by saying we will have a Perth team and an Adelaide team we could really push for a bigger deal.

Adelaide? Seriously, let's be realistic here. Central Coast is realistic. Perth is realistic. A second Brisbane team is realistic.

Adelaide and Darwin are stupid ideas.

Central Coast and a second Brisbane team don't do a lot for a tv deal though do they.

Never said they would be fantastic options, just said they were REALISTIC options.

Not sure how Adelaide can't be a realistic option? They had a team in the Super League. Darwin are a long way a way but surrly playing a game or 3 there would be a good way to give the code more exposure.

Perth has a solid local league. Adelaide doesn't. Not even Melbourne does

Perth for me. I don't think Brisbane could support a second team right now.

I also wouldn't mind Central Coast or PNG.
