Exactly this, he deserves to have the cross hairs on him now. He has had over half a dozen partners and they all end up shafted. He is close to being one of the worst halfs in the game at this point. 4 try assists and 1 line break assist for a 5/8 in his 5th season , terrible.
That's as much the coaches fault as his.

Thing is we have an urgent need to claw our way out of the cellar.

Just as important we need to understand FULLY why we got here in the first place in order to never never arrive here again. Coaches, recruitment/retainment, CEO’s, football managers aside I suggest, as I have in other threads, the need to make a profit (largely for the shareholders In lieu keeping the club afloat ) become more important than winning a game of footy or heaven forbid making the finals.

I suggest that happened (partly) with Whites appointment.

Although I agree he has accomplished that ([profit) and making money is not a sin but we need a CEO or Manager (call him what you will) who can keep a balance.

Shareholders love the money but sponsors and fans love the exposure of a successful Rugby League team - on the footy field

If Morrris has any ability at all now is the time to show it or **** off with the rest of them.

I understand that but what I don’t get is why wouldn’t success on the field contribute to your profits?
Surely it’s in everybody’s interests for the club to be successful on the field even those who are interested in making a profit because if you are successful on the field you will get bigger profits.
If asked I am sure white would have said “I want to help this club be successful on the field “
Trashing our on field performance helps no one except the opposition.
I really don’t know why they did it but it’s there for everyone to see.

If management don’t jump on this, they are more incompetent than we thought.

if they had have done this 12 - 18 months ago ... maybe the club isn't in the mess it's in ... would have been much more beneficial than trying to undermine the club on a weekly basis

although maybe the club should wait until a coach is appointed to pull the trigger on this ... because when they pull out, should their mate miss out on the gig ... it will do much more harm than good

They actually first offered this at the start of the season according to the Pearl.

So, when you are lucky enough to be in a position to have a reasonably average team and not only getting 30k (I'm one) regularly at home games but also a spot on prime time TV Friday nite why try and improve. One team town has its advantages.

In reality Whites legacy will show a profitable but extremely damaged footy side due to a piss poor retention /recruitment program (including staff) and clearly without ever having a competent succession plan. Therefore we are currently light years away from the top four teams.

Wasn't that long ago Gus Gould came to us to get tips on how to run a successful footy club when he started with Penrith, perhaps it’s time to get him back to explain to our current motley crew what he learned back then.

Bring back Bennett as Coaching Director IF he brings Su’A and Allan with him.
