I don't think that's right, is it? The top four losers get another home game. The controversy has been that Raiders, Sharks, etc won't get a true home game. They have to play at either ANZ or Allianz.
Wrong, they play at home. Bottom 4 teams travel to Top 4 teams in week 2 of the finals. No, they have to travel to play the winners of the elimination finals.
Must've been thinking about the old system.Wrong, they play at home. Bottom 4 teams travel to Top 4 teams in week 2 of the finals.

If we finish fifth, any idea what day we'd be playing in the quarter finals?
I've got that Friday off from work... awfully tempted to dart up to Brissie for the game!
I'm happy with fifth. You get the home semi and get to dust whoever comes in last.
Seriously, Brisbane don't need a top 4 spot to win the comp. What's the reward for finishing fourth? A trip to Melbourne for a bruising encounter against the Storm? No thanks. Different story if the Sharks get up next week but still...
Brisbane don't need a week off. We have momentum and I don't want to encounter the Storm again until GF day. They're too good a side. They'll work us out.
We don't need a week off. Guys like Opacic, Arrow etc need more game time not less. A home semi would be nice though and we can easily win the title from there. We nearly had the Cowboys in Townsville earlier this year so traveling there in week 2 doesn't faze me.
Edit: actually not sure - does the top 4 sides who lose get the home semi in week 2? I can't remember.
I hope the Cowboys smash the Titans next week and sew up fourth spot.
More game time for a starting centre??
The Wallabies are playing South Africa at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday 10th September. That makes things a bit more difficult to schedule.
Yep, no chance they allow two events on the same day - Friday or Sunday it is.
