Who's Your Man To Watch This Season?

Another one for Sims here. I seriously hope he gets his contract renewed. It's no secret that I am a huge fan of him and have been so since he made his broncos debut.

Apart from Sims, I'm expecting to see Anderson, Te'o, Setu and Smith have great years ahead.

But does Sims want to stay? He has a WB clause from what I know.

Kemp is an obvious one and I want to see how MaGuire goes if he gets enough games. I was impressed last year. Ill be watching Winterstein... he was quiet towards the end and he's a bit 50-50 because he hasn't got the first grader confidence yet. Needs to back himself.

from memory he had an option in his favor for this year and took it, hes off contract at the end of the year...

Much the same as others here;

McCullough - He has the chance to establish himself as a top quality first grade hooker.
Kemp - Has much too prove and certainly has the talent to replicate his 2008 form.
Sims - Needs to turn up and play consistently aggressive to give Kenny a reliable starting prop partner.

I will release the dogs. Or the bees. Or the dogs with bees in their mouth so when they bark they shoot bees at them.

Yeh i dont think SIMS is gonna give up without a premiership at Brisbane. He has the drive and the passion.

McCullough for me. Had a pretty good year in 09. I think the confidence shown in him last year will reap massive rewards this year. Possible to have him named as a back up for smith in origin this year if required. He has all the right qualities to be our (c) in the next few years.

Oh and definitely Locky. Enencumbered by rep duties (should he retire). He looked so keen in the allstars game. The way he was backing up his players should have shamed some of the younger members of that team.

I'm hoping Glenn, Te'o and Sims all have a big year... Also did Mcguire have any big games last year because there seems to be a lot of excitement around him this year but i haven't seen anything special from him last year

Winterstein and Hoffman are the main two I'll be watching. So much promise from them both, and I think Hoffman will end up starting within the first 5 or 6 weeks. Winterstein is just so exciting to watch and I'd love to see him get more settled and get some consistent form. We are blessed with an excellent backline, even though there have been setbacks due to players leaving and getting injured. Also, I think Kemp will find his previous form, and if he does, I'd hate to be against the Broncs.

McGuire is still only 19 though so he we should be patient with him.

oh yeh definitely i just wasn't sure why there was so much excitement around him I'm not saying hes bad im just saying i havent seen anything special from him yet

I think the man to watch this season with most interest will be Ivan. I'm really looking forward to see his player selection/positioning choices and how he handles such a young squad this season - ultimately I think that this will be what most influences the outcome of our season.

Of the players, I think the one to watch will be Tim Smith - can he take the number 7 jumper off Wallace's back by the end of the season????
