Why won't this Inglis to Broncos rumor go away?

I think it's time to bury this thread once and for all. The interviews he is giving now leave no doubt that he will not be here before 2018 at the earliest and probably never. He is probably the best all round athlete I have ever seen play the game but at that late stage of his career and with the level of talent that we are developing and attracting it just wouldn't be worth it to bring him here. Besides he has burnt us before so I don't think we should contribute to his retirement fund at the expense of other players.

And here's a little more reason to bury it once and for all

I think the fact our squad is starting to look so competitive and deep coupled with having one of the very best man / squad managers in the business making the big decisions should be enough to stick a fork in any realistic chance of Inglis coming here

In other words, Bennett won't just lay out the welcome mat and the dollars for a player unless he thinks there is a genuine need and the salary cap constraints & potential impacts on upcoming talents all stack up favourably
