Will Tesi Niu get poached?

Does anyone think Niu will actually get a shot at NRL in the next couple of years at the Broncos?

Or will he follow Tanah Boyd's lead and find an opportunity elsewhere?

Hard to believe that someone like Mal Meninga wouldn't have their sights on him.

I don't think we can afford to lose him. He will be up there with Holmes and Ponga in terms of natural ability and talent. That's just my opinion.

The likely scenario is that in 5 years time, no one will even know who he is.

There's A LOT of "next big thing" talent coming up through the ranks each year, so very few of them actually make it.

He has some talent, but he's not even as good as Issako right now. I wouldn't write him off just yet though

He's pretty crap from the 3-4 games I've watched him, stats were very ordinary in ISC this year as well. In a couple of years time he might be a couple of years away from playing his first NRL game.

I think he is a good prospect. We could do worse than put him in a fullback. Worse being Darius. Not against giving him a shot at some stage.

He is a good in his support play and can fill in across the back line. Still very young. Coates and Farnworth are ahead of him. I would rather him play and Boyd be put in QCup if given that choice.

After another season in QCup we will probably know more.

Yeah.. If you're making the extended bench then you're most likely in calculations to an extent. Not 5 years off getting near playing a game.

I'm actually quite a positive individual, especially when it comes to the young guys on our roster. I used to be a bit like yourself, always over-hyping and expecting every young guy coming through to be an absolute gun. Unfortunately, I grew up.

You're claiming this guy has the natural ability and talent of Holmes & Ponga.. like.. what? If that were the case he would've played first grade this year, ahead of Shibasaki, Perese, Coates, Farnworth, Kennar and the plethora of inexperienced outside backs we used ahead of him...

Grew up into a condescending D head.

Look what the situation was with Ponga at Cows. Green refused to put faith in him as their fullback or even winger.. Knights recognised the talent, took a risk with a big contract, and it paid off.

Ponga went from unproven rookie to NRL superstar over the course of a pre season. Amazing right?

the only reason he'll get poached is if someone is looking for a fullback for their reserve grade sides.
