NEWS Win five games or you're sacked Seibold

Imagine we somehow beat Melbourne at Suncorp for the first time in years just to spite us wanting Seibold gone 😂

Won't happen of course but still.
 
This story smacks of BS.

By the time a relationship breaks down to the point of making threats, it's already over.

Possibly the discussion would have been around winning x number of games to ensure the broncos don't take home the timberware, else that may force murdoch into action.

Either the guy has the support of the board to do his job, or they have lost faith and have told him he can see out the season gracefully. Given our recent history with Wayne, I doubt they'd want to taint the recruitment pool any further.

I'd like to see them bring in a "caretaker" coach for 12 months while they searched around to find someone of high quality to come in and do this job. I'd love it to be Ben and Shane, they are old boys, they get the culture, they also play fun, exciting footy and may be the shot in the arm these boys need to find some passion again.

I absolutely do not rate Kevvie at all, he was crap in the lower grades, has had no success in origin, I just don't see him being the 'saviour'. But a pressure free, 12 month contract for the walker bros to come in and give the team some fun back, might just turn this around enough for the club to kill off some of the rot. Less pressure on Shane and Ben too, they get 12 months to have a red hot crack - if they go amazingly, we keep 'em, if they are not Broncos standard, they've gained 12 months NRL Experience and would command a job somewhere.

Are they saying he has the next 5 games to prove himself or he has to get to 5 wins for the season? Because we’re sure as hell are not going to win a game the next 4 weeks.

Those incompetent pricks on the board better have plan B in place already.

They don’t even have a plan A so there is no chance of that.
They are now paralysed by indecision as to what to do now.
I am sure white will not be giving any more press conferences saying siebold is safe etc.
A lot of people are now in ‘can’t wait till the season ends’ mode.
The next 10 weeks shape as being the most ugly in the clubs history.
 
This is bullshit by the board if true. There's no chance of winning 5 games out of the next ten. Just sack him now or get rid of him. Don't go setting unreachable targets.

I don’t buy it. It sounds like the club is really resisting sacking him due to the massive financial ramifications. There’s 10 games left of the season, someone in the office “leaks” this to the media to keep fans happy, then at the end of the season when Seibold wins 1 out of 10 games they’ll deny it was ever true and that they’re confident with a good preseason Seibold is the right man for the job in 2021.
 
I find this hard to believe, but if it is true who the **** is leaking this shit to the media?
Our next 10, in order: Melbourne, Sharks, Souffs, Raiders, St George, Roo$ters, Penriff, Titans, Eels, Cowgirls.
Now, we could legit be 0/10, and that isn't an exaggeration. Best case we would be 1 or 2/10 so if this report is true, he is done - there is zero point waiting. He would even admit that we won't be getting near 5/10.
Why would the club (if this is true) not just pull the trigger now? It is pointless appointing Kevvie in the off-season because next year will then be a write-off due to a disrupted pre-season. It makes no sense.
Once we get beat 66-0 against the Storm, get rid of the complete coaching staff first thing Saturday morning.
White, Morris, Locky and the rest of the board are as responsible, if not more responsible for the results than the coach, so they MUST also be gone.
The players that 'cannot deal with the disruptions' can follow also and I don't care who they are..
The joint needs a complete overhaul.
Get Ikin and Walters in ASAP, get some form of culture in the joint, get some of the decent old boys back around the club and lets start again.

Enough is enough.

I hate how accurate this is
 
The board and CEO are just serving their own interests. They will drag this out as long as possible because they know they fucked and how bad it will reflect on them and them if the sack him and have to pay him out. White the coward is trying to draw it out long enough that he gets another job and Morris is drawing it out hoping that Tubby can somehow miraculously right the ship. Our club is a disgrace and this will be their legacy.
 
I can't see this being true. The way the team has trended down, with no signs of improvement and plenty of regression, why would you give him a chance, even a slim one, to save his job and keep coaching? Even under a long term rebuilding plan there is no way that he could argue this team is on track for improvement under his stewardship. The culture is gone, the environment seems toxic, and there is no way that anyone could think retaining Seibold is going to culminate in anything other than continued poor performances.

I suspect that they are reluctant to sack him mid-year because that's just not something the Broncos do. It would also highlight the failure of the powers that be in his hire, although how they could possibly avoid that stain at this stage is questionable.

I don't think there will be any more public statements of support, and we'll just continue to put up embarrassing performances for the next ten weeks, and on Mad Monday Seibs will be cleaning out his office. I don't think it'll take him long, he'd be smart to start packing now.
