I know we lost, but how did we play? Wad surprised to see Spain go down 5-1 i wasn't expecting them to be a force this time around but that's a massive loss.

Not the ending we deserved, but to see all that diving from Chile and zero in response from us plus the time wasting when Chile were in possession in the last 10 minutes just reaffirms my dislike of soccer.

I will watch the Australia games and maybe the final, but the diving, the time wasting and passing the ball backwards all the time is just so damn boring. If they had a back court rule that would be great. How so many people get so "passionate" about this sport, I will ever know.

Terrible for the first 15 minutes, conceding two goals that ultimately cost us the game, but then we kicked it up a gear and pushed them to the limit. 15 shots with only 1 goal pretty much says it all. Final goal from Chile was just pure potluck because every player on the park was stuffed.

Gee this is a tough game to watch at times with all the rolling around on the ground. Seemed like we had a ton of fouls called against us and only a couple for us. Cahill is just magic and that Leckie fella was outstanding. Just couldn't get that equaliser though.

The Aussies are definitely looking good for the future.

Ok, thoughts from overnight

-Mexico got absolutely screwed by 1 linesman. Disallowing 2 genuine goals fro Gio Dos Santos. He should have had a penalty too.
-Cameroon are the worst team in the tournament. Brazil will beat them 10-0.
-I already knew the CONCACAF teams would be bad, but I didn't expect one of the better African teams to look like such shit against a CONCACAF side that only qualified coz they got to play NZ. This has me thinking that the elite nations will have no troubles with the smaller nations at this tournament.
-The team Australia plays next, just put 5 GOALS ON THE WORLD CHAMPIONS!
-Arjen Robben scored a nice goal, but I was most impressed with his blistering volley that Casillas saved.
-Van Persie's first goal looked goofy but if you think about how much skill that takes...hats off.
-Cool to see Patrick Kluivert on the bench hanging out with Van Gaal.
-Xavi is one of my idols, but he's done.
-Alexis Sanchez is a beast, what a player.
-We looked a bit shocked at the start on the first goal. Our prep going in didn't help. We should have played a side that plays similar to Chile. Instead we played South Africa and Croatia.
-Jason Davidson has earned a nice sleep tonight. what an effort.
-Matthew Leckie is going to be signed by some massive club after this, he was absolutely superb. Iron out the kinks and there is possibly a world class player there.
-Tommy Oar looked well off his game and Halloran did nothing replacing him.
-I've been critical of Mile Jedinak in the past but he played a great Central midfield role.
-SUPER SUPER TIM SUPER TIMMY CAHILL! What a champ.
-Bresc has still got it.
-We looked so good on the ball at times. I wish we had Ange as coach since the last World Cup. **** Holger Osieck. We are looking good for 2018.
-WC is good for people who don't usually watch football to get into it. But it's also a time where I hear nothing but complaining about how boring "sokkah" is.

This. I don't know much about the game but it is so obvious what Ange is trying to do and it's definitely for the better. Imagine how we'd be if he'd had the reins back then? Oh well nevermind, we look good for 2018 that's for sure.

Not everyone has to like every sport ever. Why do people have to belittle the interests of others all the time? It happens in all facets of life.

Haha, meanwhile I'm the ****** in my group for watching rugby league. All depends on background, people will always give shit to other peoples choice of sports, I guess.

Now onto the world cup.

Greece expectedly lost but I was very surprised that IVC beat URU 3-1, I was expecting a score the other way around.

I watched half the Greek game before falling asleep so now I'm up early to get ENG ITA live. Initially I was leaning towards Italy, but a few injury concerns makes me think England will take this out.

I couldn't care who actually wins this game, I just hope there's some quality football.
