I actually have no great dislike for Mr Lix but he always seems to irritate me with his inability to simply say...I made the wrong call on something. I do realize the comments are made 'tongue in cheek' but if these same comments are not made AFTER admitting the error of judgement then they continue to be the same thoughts previously held.
For 2 years before his Origin debut I tried to highlight his work which I felt was being missed by most but the keenest observers. I did cop enormous and sustained flak over my position. I stand by every word.
Comments about his stature are reasonable as observances but as derision they are plainly rude...little else.
The AVERAGE player in league will never attain Nutleys standard. Most will never equal his career or achievements
nor garner the respect he commands from those best placed to judge. I might add that Nutley is very highly regarded by the English League press , the clubs he represented and his many fans for his career over there.
He was never just average....
