CRICKET WTC and Ashes Tour of England

Pretty simple solution, just don't lose the first two matches out of 5 match series

If anyone wants a good read, go to Piers Morgan twitter.

The saltiness is extreme.

The Australian selectors really get it don't they, talk of Green being dropped for Murphy.

Yep there is your issue with the side according to the guys in charge.

There is no point dropping green, he's the best talent we have had in years and stuffing him around is the dumbest thing you could do. Can't we just stick and pick with him.

Drop Hazlewood, I'd drop Cummins but some guy had the bright idea of making him captain

Talent aint shit if it doesn`t produce the goods . He hasn`t fired this series .
You can`t prefer him over Marsh ATM who is in career best form . Only room for one allrounder in this game . Murphy makes a better balanced attack .

Ponting , Waugh , Hayden, Smith , Kawaja and Starc all been dropped and came back better .

So Warner should be safe to continue based on...what? Is current Warner a better batsman than anyone else in the side?

Never mentioned Warner .

Completely different circumstance . There is not another like for like replacement who has filled in and excelled .

OK then what`s your alternative ?
Green to open ? LOL .

Neser and Murphy should be coming in, it all comes down to the fitness of Starc, if he isn't 100% he can't be picked. I love Green and dislike Marsh ever being mentioned for red ball cricket, but Marsh has out performed him this series by a long way, and if one has to get dropped, it's Green.

I already said it - move Head to open and bat Marsh and Green at 5 and 6. It should be a no brainer.

Nah , Warner is getting starts .
Not like he`s getting a duck every time . Maybe his last game if he doesn`t get a big score .
Green hasn`t looked comfortable . Looks like a #8 or 9 more than a #6 .

Reverse swing could be a factor at the oval .
The pitch block extends the width of the ground .The ball should get roughed up .

Warner / Green current tests comparison:
1/6
43/25
9/38
36/28
66/0
25/18
4/16
1/3*
32/114
28/21

To say Green has been underwhelming is absolutely true. To say Warner has been 'at least getting starts' is no different to what Green has been doing and at least Green has taken wickets and has taken some critical catches.

Green is also the future, Warner has been terrible for years.

Australia really should go with this:

1. Head
2. Khawaja
3. Labushagne
4. Smith
5. Green (give him a shot one place up, he will bat 4 eventually anyway)
6. Marsh
7. Carey
8. Neser
9. Cummins (he should be rested but is captain, so won't be)
10. Starc
11. Murphy

This makes a very deep batting line up and has so much variety in the bowling attack which has been lacking.
