So with Herbie being in the development squad, hypothetically he can't be listed in the starting 17 unless Perese/Kennar are injured and there are no suitable replacements?

So Perese/Kennar/Shiba(if Jimmy comes back and isnt selected for nsw) will fill Oates's wing spot come origin time?

On Nrl 360, Roosters are chasing Sam Walker, Son of Ben Walker to potientally replace Cronk in the next season or two.
His contract is up with Broncos later in the year.

He should go have a chat to jaydn nikorima before he signs. Find out how they treat players who arent meeting their expectations..
If I was a player, particularly a young player, I would never sign for the roosters. People might say "but look at the young players who are now in peak form in a premiership winning team" but there are countless examples of how they throw you to the scrapheap if you don't fit in or are out of form. It's disgusting really. They never stick by players, never.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out, fortunately and unfortunately for us we have a plethera of good quality young halves in the club.
Some big decisions for the Club to make in regards to the future.

ARU are chasing Walker hard too.

If Walker avoids failing a drug test on two occasions, then he should be alright. Any player who can't follow the rules which are clearly spelled out to them, then the scrap heap is where they'll end up and rightly so.

Not this year, rule was changed so after June 30 you can freely use Development players. So really a squad of 36 after end of June.

He's in grade 12, I highly doubt Ben is going to let him leave.

I think it’s about now that we count our lucky stars that Dearden isnt off contract this/next year.
It was a massive win ensuring Dearden stayed in Brisbane, rather then heading down to the r00rter$

Come on now, you really think the timing of that wasn't "convenient" for the roosters? It happens time and time again for them. The skd controversy just happened to be around the time when the rumours about cronk started too and everyone was wondering where theyd get the money from. Then Pearce controversy happened after they locked cronk down, you seriously think they would have let him go if they didn't?
Trust me when I say this, if they were going to give the same treatment to all the roosters players who did the same as jnik did they may be left without a squad. He is an idiot for doing it no doubt but he was also singled out big time...

It's almost like rampant drug use and two failed ASADA tests, falsifying documents and paying a a player to take the blame and avoiding jail ends your NRL career- strange hey.

The falsifying documents was terrible but it happened AFTER he was sacked by the roosters. I know ex roosters players... Trust me when I say this... The culture at the time was not squeaky clean, he was an underperforming half who was highly paid and they needed a new half and cap space. I can guarantee there would be alot more tests failed if other members were tested, perhaps ones that aren't as "convenient" for the club...

He was trying to save his Roosters contract, his drug taking was on Mad Monday for Wyong.

You do know that ASADA do all testing and random selection of players? Clubs have no say? Three days after Mad Monday is a ASADA favourite. It was an NRL approved ASADA test.

That's fucking bullshit players are getting tested when the season is over.

His roosters contract was already blackmarked, he panicked and made the most stupid decision he could have made. And you also realise that I was told by an ex roosters player that there would be a lot more in trouble if it was done correctly?

"random" lol... Yep... Never heard of Darryl? A Johns seemed to only have a drug problem after his career finished? Bennett even letting slip James Roberts had a drug problem in an interview? What do all these players have that J nikorima didn't? They were critical to the team at the time. I know some ex players, you'd have to be pretty gullible not to realise players get tipped off. Seems maybe they forgot to tell nikorima but may have told a few others.

Does this absolve nikorima from what he did? Of course not, he's an idiot. But it does show how the roosters will stop looking out for you the moment that your not performing... And there are multiple examples of it..

no such thing when it comes to drugs

there is prescription drugs (medicinal) or ILLEGAL drugs
Yeah, yeah Mr. I'veneverbrokenalaw. In the real world there is such a thing.

If the season is over and there are no more games then rec. drugs are none of ASADA's business.
